Sad Announcement Re: Gail Bradley

Those of you who took the SR Disney Cruise with us in October were no doubt familiar with the travel agent that we used, Gail Bradley. In fact, I believe that some of you even booked subsequent vacations with Gail.

On Friday, March 22. Gail was killed by her husband. After killing her, he was shot and killed by police. She leaves behind a biological son as well as her husband's daughter that she had been raising as her own and two step-sons.

The article just made me sick to my stomach. Due to past abuse, she had a restraining order against him. Apparently, it was not enough.

Oh, I'm so sorry. She was very nice when I inquired about the cruise, so long ago! My thoughts and prayers are with the children! So sad!! :(

Those poor children! I can't even imagine what this might do to them... I hope they have a very healthy, loving home to go to.

I am still in shock over this. I worked very closely with Gail for a year planning the cruise and many times we'd be talking at 9 at night (of course, she was west coast and I'm east coast) and after awhile she did tell me little things going on in her life. I know that her dad was sick and the little 8 year girl had some problems, but she never said anything negative about her husband. In fact, she would talk often about how the kids loved him and when they would take Disney cruises, he was always the center of attention with his balloon animals. There were times when I couldn't reach her for weeks and she would call and tell me that there was just a lot going on, now I think about that and wonder if that "a lot" was the problems with her husband. This is just sickening and horrible....and proves that a restraining order is merely a piece of paper and doesn't protect you. I'm also curious as to how long it took the police to get to here after she placed the 911 call.

So sad...I agree with Cindy, that restraining orders don't seem to do much good at all...it does seem that if a person wants to hurt you, they are going to find a way to do it, paper or not. Very scary! :(

That is so sad. I just found our last email exchange when I was looking for something else. She was such a nice lady. :(

That is horrible. I didn't go on the cruise, but I did speak with her regarding prices and such.

This just goes to show how you never know what a person is going through behind closed doors.

I worked with a young lady years ago that had a restraining order against her child's father. He walked straight into our office and shoot her in the back of the head. She died instantly. He then shot himself also, but survived and now he's in jail.

If only the restraining order had worked, her two year old daughter wouldn't have had to grow up without a mother.


In this case, Tony didn't even think about his family. Now his mother has to bury two sons.
