I have a question for all of the experts. I have a very hard time getting a survey which is why I have been making DH take them. Last night as DH was taking a survey he asked me why I didn't qualify and he does. I told him I think it is becasue he works and I am a SAHM. I can't check all that things about making business decisions. He thought that since I am a secretary for a non-profit organization and I do make most of the decisions for the organization that I should be checking them. I told him that he just wants out of his nightly job. :rotfl: So, should I be checking those boxes or not? I always thought that they wanted you to work for $$$.

I don't know how DH and SRers kids can take the surveys. I thought they were supposed to be done by the SR account holder (in this case, me)

I do know what you mean about the surveys for a SAHM. As the end of the month comes there are less chances for me to qualify.

If it were me, I'd check them. I think making decisions regularly for any organization qualifies you. I don't think they care what your salary is. I see the difference as being between decisions for your personal use vs. business use. Non-profits are businesses. HTH. :)

I've read here numerous times that your SR account is a family account, so with the surveys, you can enter your info pertaining to who is taking the survey in the family.

The account here at SR is a family account and when you go to the survey page up top there is an email address and it asks is that you? DH just clicks off and puts in his information. Becasue he works and makes decisions for his company he can check more boxes than I can. He seems to qualify for more surveys than I do. As a SAHM, I really don't have a many boxes to check.

Any member of your family who fits the age requirement can take surveys on your account. This is because SR only allows one account per household and IP address. It would be impossible for your spouse to have his own account and take his own surveys. You can use any email address you want on the surveys and DH or older children (I think the cut off might be 13) can take surveys and answer questions with their information. In repsonse to the OP, if you are making business decisions for the company you can check yes, it doesnt matter what the nature of the business is. I make some decisions for my part time job when it comes to things that affect my work. I am the only one who does the bookkeeping and so anything that affects that I make those decisons and so I can check yes. I cant check yes for things like wireless communication since I dont make those decisions. I do decide on computer software and hardware and office supplies. HTH!

Thanks for the opinion. I guess DH was right - Oh how I dread telling him. You all know how men can gloat when they are right (which is not often). I will never hear the end of this. Maybe I won't say anything to him at all.

Thanks for the info for me too.:) So, would I need to change the email address for DH to take a survey? We all use the same "garbage" email address.

If its gmail just put in a period for him somewhere and let that be "his" account since they store the demographics based on email.
