Reading emails for credits?

I see mention of this here and there on the SR site, but for the life of me, can't find where or how I would do this???? Can anyone help with some info?

Just keep an eye on the email account you registered with. They come out periodically but not on a set schedule. Usually they are to introduce a new merchant, product or site feature. Just make sure you are checking your email.
