View Full Version : Notice of server downtime tonight

Hello all --
At 11:30PM Eastern time tonight, I will be taking the server (sunshinerewards.com only) offline for a while. I will be attempting a database upgrade that will allow a lot more flexibility with the product searching feature and allow me to code things much more efficiently.
I wish I could tell you the exact time the server will be back up, but I don't want to tell you a time and then miss it. During my tests, I have be able to get the server back up and fully functional in about 2hrs. But like I said, I don't want you to think something is wrong if it takes longer.
Hopefully this won't cut into your earning time!!!! :p

Sorry for not being clear. This downtime will only be for sr.com - the forums should be up the whole time. So you can keep posting!!!

ok, an hour before. considering it *took* an hour to get to that survey and through it, it was down to the wire, imo!

I'm pushing him back to what I posted on the site--11pm. Now, if someone does not have their survey yet and wants to keep trying, I can tell you how to get it while the site is down. You should still be able to click on this link:
http://gozing.directtrack.com/z/3010/CD1989/UID
with your userid in the place of UID.
If you put that in, you can still get your survey credit without going through our site.

The outlook isn't sunny. He hasn't even started the upgrade yet and the server is down. It's a known issue that they have never permanently fixed and now after 45 minutes on hold with them, SG still isn't getting anywhere.

I hope SG will not have to pull an all nighter! Should we expect the site by tommorw morning, or is it all hands to the might master of servers!

He's making progress now. They haven't fixed the problem, but he has a workaround. So at least the upgrade has begun. Once he finished the upgrade, he has to reload all of the data to the server.
