question about TracFone shopping

A couple weeks ago I purchased a TracFone for my daughter. I went through SR, noted the qualifications listed on the TracFone shopping page Details: Earn 9% back on the purchase of phones, accessories and airtime (when purchased in conjunction with a phone).

the only thing is, you can't purchase airtime in conjunction with a phone. I tried to purchase the phone and the airtime together, but I couldn't figure out how, so I called TracFone and they told me I had to order the phone first, then once I receive it, go back online and activate the phone and buy the airtime.

I went through SR again when I went to purchase the airtime, but I don't think I am going to get credit for that since I didn't buy the phone and airtime together (which is not possible to do) Is this correct? TIA

eta: I did receive credit for the phone purchase, just not the airtime.

That's just the description that they gave us in their terms. We can file a trouble ticket to get more clarification if you want to give us your receipt.

I believe you can purchase air time cards at the same time you order a phone you just can't activate them until you activate the phone..

really? I was on the website forever trying to figure out how to buy both together, Finally, I called TracFone and the rep said it could not be done:confused:

Thanks Tricia ~ I will open a trouble ticket with the info if you don't mind lookng into for me. It would be nice to get credit for that since it would have equaled a good amount.
