View Full Version : MID Closes IE??

I am very upset - for the last week, after I enter my e-mail and click the button for the next page, IE closes. This only happens with MID. Of course, this is the one group I was 97% sure of a pay-off.

For a while it would let me get through three pages before closing; at least then I got my credit. Now, I get the confirmation e-mail, but no credit.

:computer:

Anyone have any ideas??

TIA

Have you run an anti spam an anti virus program just to make sure something funky isn't taking over?

Maybe a pop up blocker got re-instated? MID has alot of pop ups. I know sometimes when I do Windows updates it overrides my security settings to their preferred (rarely, but sometimes...) and I have to go back and manually set them to my preferences.

I can't think of anything else, but I'm google-ing and will post back if I find anything else.

I actually keep my pop-up blocker on....can't stand them!
I'll run my spyware tomorrow - my ant-virus is automatic. It is just MID - nothing else closes it.
Weird! Thanks for your help!

If you have the pop up blocker on this might cause some of the issues because most of these offers have popups. That could be your issue

Try clearing all cookies, running spybot, an anti adware program, and manually running your virus checker. Something is closing out your program and probably messing with the cookies.

Yesterday I ran Spy-Bot, Ad-Aware and my virus scan. Today, I got three MIDs; but it still closed IE on two of the three offers. Weird!

At least I got the credits!

Maybe check out the link they mention. I'm still googling.

Alrighty some of the other forums I'm reading from my google search is talking about a Java update. If its just MID I wouldn't worry about it but if its other things besides MID I'd google "IE Closing itself" and read the links that talk about manually installing Java.
