It's been over a month since I signed up for Netflix. Do I consider it a dud offer now? I love my movies, but I was really hoping for that $10 too!

Honestly they take a long time and we never really know when or if they will come through. Usually if they haven't post within 90 days then its kinda hopeless. There have been some that post after the 90 days but usually that is the cutoff I use to stop looking for it.

Sorry its taking so long. I did Netflix via another program way before I knew of SR. It did credit for me so I have hope for you. Have you filed your TT yet so Tricia knows to ask about getting you credit?

Im glad you brought this up. I did Netflix over the weekend. If they don't pay up then I'm going to cancel my membership before it even begins! TODAY!!!:(

I"d give them a try. I think they usually credit once a month and people do report getting credit.

It does credit for some people. Unfortunately there is NO WAY you will get credit before your trial membership ends. If the credit is going to come through it will be after your trial membership has ended. It really is a good service if you like to watch movies.

No I haven't. This is the first thing I've done that hasn't come through. How do I go about filing a TT? I'm still a little wet behind the ears when it comes to sunshining!

On the news and links page go to the bottom and you will see a link for Trouble Tickets. Just click that and hit file a new TT. Follow the instructions. Post abck if you have any questions. Don't forget the header from the email.

Yes I know I want get credit if I cancel before the trial membership ends, but right after I signed up for the membership and went to their website I saw a promotional that they are running right now and it's for 4.99 a month. The membership that I signed up for is more than that, but I was going to keep it since it was on SR and it would have almost even out. If I cancel, and sign up through them during this promotional period, I'll come out ahead!
I hope I can post this, if not, I'm sorry SR!!

Is that membership price for the same level of service? You have to be careful when signing up with promos because netflix has a ton of options and the promos aren't always for the same one.

I don't think I was clear. My point was that you wouldn't even know if you are getting credit for the Netflix for several weeks and it will beyond your trial membership when you find out. If the idea was to sign up for the trial membership and get credits then you may still get the credits. They just post slowly. Now, the cancelling and resigning up. Be absolutely sure that the promotion doesn't say that it is for new members only. Netflix tracks using every piece of information. If any piece is duplicated in a new membership you will be considereda returning customer and not a new member. Before cancelling make sure the special rate is available to prior customers. Even though you haven't used the service you are now a prior customer. I know from experience. I did this with Blockbuster. Signed up on one of those stupid silver, gold platinum offer things before I knew how the rewards thing worked. I cancelled within 2 hours of signing up. Because I signed up I am now a returning customer even though I never got charged a dime and never recieved a movie. I hope this helps you make your decision.

On the offer it states "New Netflix memberships only. Must stay past 14 day free trial."
When I signed up, it didn't even pend/hold until AFTER I was charged for the first month.
And then of course it waits until the 15th of the following month to fully credit to your account.
If you've already paid for the first month, be SURE you're checking back in your account history to the day you signed up, b/c it might be sitting there, credit holding, just waiting to fully credit. Or you could check your Current Earnings page to see if there's some money in Pending Payments. :)
Also, to the person who saw the different special, just CHANGE your level! Totally easy. Unless they've changed in the last, hmm, two months, it was simple for me. Just changed it while in my trial period, and it told me it would be changed as of x date, and it did, and it couldn't have been easier.
But otherwise, yeah, Netflix offers different specials, and sometimes a person just isn't eligible for some...

Thanks guys for all of your help. I've already received my first movie and the kids love it, of course, so I'm going stick with it and hope that they come through. :)
