Le Cense Beef....can anyone find any small print on this one? Do you just have to make a purchase or are you enrolled in a membership? There's not a whole lot of information. It almost looks too good to be true.....and you know what that means!

It looks like they are just trying to get their name out there to compete with Omaha and some of the other big ones. I just saw the first credit come through for it, so it seems legit.

I'm going to give it a try... it says it has 1/2 the fat and 1/3 the calories of corn fed beef as well as 7 times the Omega 3. I absolutely love beef but have a problem with my cholesterol so I'm interested to see what this is like.

Here's a blog written by someone who ordered the beef:

I just did it. We usually only eat venison and chicken or fish, but at this price with the credits it's worth a try -- especially as healthy as it sounds.
Hopefully it will credit soon if Tricia has seen some already. I'll let you know :sunshine:

I just did it as well. We are staying in a Condo in Orlando at Christmas and will be cooking some of the meals to cut down on the expense so I thought this would be perfect for a couple of meals for us.

It's free shipping. I couldn't find where it said that on the website, but when I went back to SR, it said it in the banner.
I ordered this morning, went out grocery shopping, and when I came home my credit was there.

Ok can I ask a blonde question here. How is this stuff kept refrigerated during shipment or does it not need that? I'm trying to mentally figure this one out and its not working. I'm assuming you need to be home for the delivery otherwise it could go bad right??

You guys convinced me. I'm going to try this one out, too.
I've had quite a few things mailed to me before that had to be refridgerated. They ship them overnight or 2 day in special coldpacks (either real gel packs or a dry-ice type thing depending on the company). I've gotten all kinds of stuff before from Omaha Steaks and also some chocolate covered strawberries from Shari's berries. We also have a lot of people order from Impromptu Gourmet and A la Zing. It's all kind of done the same way.

I have had things delivered from Omaha Steaks and Alazing. They always come overnight or 2 day delivery and they come in a styrofoam cooler with the dry ice packs inside. I wasn't home for any of the deliveries. Yet, the items were still fully frozen when I did get home. No worries.

My shipment came yesterday. I did not arrive home until after 6:30 last night so I had been a bit worried. Even though the dry ice had gone away completely by then, all of the beef was still completely frozen solid. The beef patties look great and I am not sure we can wait until Dec. now to use them!!! Not sure how we will use the short ribs but I am sure we will thik of something!!

I got my Le Cense Beef box yesterday morning. I didn't get home until late afternoon, the dry ice bag was completely evaporated, but the burgers/shortribs were still frozen. I made the burgers last night and they were deeeeeelicious!!!:eat:
I can definitely taste the difference in the meat and I am going to be ordering more soon. They send a *$10 off a $75 purchase* coupon with it. Now I have to do a search on the internet on how to make short ribs because I never made them before.

If you have a grill I'd search foodnetwork and bobby flay recipes. I'm sure he's made them a few different ways on the grill. I would think paula deen might have some ideas as well but we know the recipe will call for at least 1 stick of butter.

The first and only time I ever had short ribs was at Jiko on our last trip to WDW. They were the best meal of that trip! Delicious! I wonder if I can find that recipe somewhere.

Thanks!! I never thought of looking there. I LOVE Bobby Flay's recipes. He makes my mouth drool when I watch him on the Food Network.
I was amazed at the size of the short ribs. They looked pretty small on their sight but they are pretty good size.

I *thought* i asked this question the other day, but i didnt see it so maybe i was having a senior moment....
Anyway, i was wondering if Le Cense has an affiliate program? Cause if the meat i ordered turns out good i might consider buying from them regularly.I looked at their website, and their prices for roasts and stuff arent really any less than what i pay at whole foods for meat.

I hope so. I was waiting until next week to order so I could get a jump on next quarters SM status. Bummer. And I really wanted to try the short ribs.

I just thought I could hold out a bit because its not like people could quick cancel or return the product you know. Oh well I'll have to be quicker next time.

I was lucky enough to get in my order before they pulled it. I think I ordered over the weekend. Anyway, I got a nice phone call from them last night verifying my information before they mailed it out. I guess they ship it to arrive in 2 days (probably because of the refrigeration issue), and I asked that it be shipped out next week as we had plans this weekend. They couldn't have been more accommodating. It seems like a good company to do business with, however I haven't tasted their product yet. Perhaps they will become one of our shopping choices?
