Question about survey times

This may be a really silly question, but I have wondered for a long time. Does the time zone make a difference as to when you complete your DS? Sometimes on the weekends if I am up later I'll try for my DS before I go to bed. I'll start just before midnight CST. What time zone do the DS go by? Does that make sense?

I live in Washington state (pacific time) and I've noticed that if I finish an AMP or My Two Cent survey before 9pm, it'll post to that day. Anything finished between 9pm and midnight will have the following day's date. So I'm assuming they the surveys follow Eastern time. I use those times as well for the daily survey as well.
