Anyone else getting magazines they did not order?

I just received Birds & Bloom magazine and a bill thanking me for my order. I did not order this magazine but know it came through something I did on Sunshine because I use a nickname. Has this happened to anyone else??

I haven't gotten that one but I did get a couple of kids' magazines out of the blue. Like one month trials or something. They probably send them out hoping that you will keep the subscriptions and not cancel. But you don't have to pay for things that you don't order. When I get a bill for these, I plan on just writing cancel on it and sending it back.

I just got a magazine the other day that I know I didn't order or sign up to get free. I just "cancel" when I get the bill.

I got a Rachel Ray magazine that I didn't order (at least not intentionally).

I got Reader's Digest once that I didn't sign up for. When a bill came for it I just contacted them online and they canceled it without any questions. I still don't know how I ended up getting it. :confused:

I got Prevention Mag. I imagine it was from one of those offers where I had to click on "something" to continue on to get the 50 cents or whatever. I think I will cancel as well.

I got Prevention as well. I get so many magazines anyway that sometimes I can't remember which ones I get. I do know that I wouldn't pay that much for on though. So I figured it was through something I inadvertantly clicked through here.

I got the Prevention magazine too! And today I received 3 subscription notices in the mail, BH&G, Good Housekeeping and one other one. Just writing "cancel" on them and sending them back.

I got the Rachel Ray and read it in it's entiriety today! It was great, but I didn't order it either, although, I enjoyed it, I'll cancel it when the bill arrives. I also got a thank you for your order confirmation letter for a scrapbooking magazine. I could cancel that one through the email, so I did.

Yes, I am writing cancel on the bill and sending it back. It is a shame that they send them witout us actually ordering them.

I got the bill from Birds and Bloom but have not received a magazine. I got a copy of the magazine, Remedy, but no bill -- yet.

I haven't actually gotten the magazine yet but I did get the bills for the Birds and Blooms and the Prevention Magazines in the mail...I just ripped them up and threw them away, I'm not wasting a stamp to mail it back because I never ordered them and if they never get paid, they will stop sending the magazine! :rotfl:

Just a warning - a few years ago I did the same thing for some golf magazine that I never ordered. I didn't "cancel" it and threw away the magazine and the bill figuring if I didn't pay that they would just stop sending. However, they continued to send the magazine and then decided to send it to a collection agency instead! I did eventually get it all straightened out, but it was kind of a pain.

I got a couple of glamour magazines out of the blue and got a Rachel Ray and Reader's Digest a while ago. I think they might be from all those offers that you have to choose at least one offer to move onto the next page. I probably picked a trail Glamour magazine offer once.

I just call the 800 number and tell them I am not interested. Seems to work.

On another note: where is evertyone getting the jumping mickey puimkin. I want one!!!

So far I've gotten Birds and Blooms, Better Homes & Gardens, Family Fun, Disney Adventures, Golf and a cooking one (I don't remember the name). I just send back the invoice with cancel on it. Sometimes I have to do it more than once though.

I had this problem a few months ago with Rachel Ray. It seems that every now and then we get an offer that auto signs us up for them. I haven't figured out yet which ones they are. I just called the number in the magazine and they cancelled and told me not to worry about it. I wouldn't even waste a stamp because when I did that with a different magazine I still had to call because supposedly they never got the invoice marked cancel. HTH!

You could always try writing CANCEL -- DID NOT ORDER -- RETURN TO SENDER on the magazine and/or invoice and mail it back to them that way. I've done that before with mags I never ordered.

i got the magazine and the bill. Bill came sometime before magazine and i just ignored both. That was a month ago, and so far I haven't heard anything else.
