View Full Version : Any ideas why I hve not seen credit for so many of my holiday purchases?

I have not yet filed TT's for all of them, but out of 8 purchases between Thanksgiving and now, I only have pending credits for 3 of them. i'm assuming that I won't be entered into the contest for these purchases either. I's very frustrating, especially since a couple of them I have gotten credit for with no problems in the past.

I have been clearing cookies both within my browser, and using CC cleaner on a regular basis.

Curious if anyone (or Tricia) might have any ideas. A couple of the purchases were made with my dh's mac, and at least one of them is a merchant that I have had to file a TT for in the past. Just wondering.

Thanks.

BTW...it won't stop me from ordering through the SR links, but I don't want SR or me to be shorted...especially at this time of year.;)

No ideas why but just wanted to tell you, you are not alone. I have submitted a few TT myself for merchants that I've had no trouble with in the past. The only thing that I can think of is, they are so busy this time of year and maybe it just got "misplaced" in cyberspace?? Which is no excuse as it should track properly. I always clear cookies before shopping too and I agree, it won't stop me from shopping on SR, it might force me to find other merchants to deal with but it won't stop me totally, I'm just hoping that it's just a fluke with these merchants?

I have no idea why either - but your not alone - I have 3 purchases that I have not yet received credit on. One - I filed a TT and the other two - I will file a TT on Saturday. The thing that gets me is that two of the credits are from the Holiday Contest so that is four entries into the contest that I haven't gotten. But like you guys - it won't stop me from shopping thru SR! Because for the 3 that didn't credit - I have 15 that did!

I did really well getting credits until December 16th. Since then, I have one order that hasn't shown up yet as pending, and one $4 paid offer that never showed up. I'll open a TT in a couple of days for the former, but I'm out of the latter completely. Frustrating, to say the least. I, too, am wondering if the Christmas rush has fouled things up a bit.

You are not alone! Most of my purchases have credited, but I had to file a TT on one that usually credits (I did get credit for that after Cindy submitted it), and a purchase from 12/16 is not pending yet. I also did Netflix a couple of days ago ($6), but it is not pending yet. I hope it comes through since I don't think I can do a TT for it.

I did Netflix on the 16th and am still waiting for it to credit! Fingers are crossed!

I think Netflix is one that credits after your trial period is finished, so may take some time.

I agree with you. I'm waiting for 5 TT's. 4 of them are companies I have ordered with before and received credit. The weird thing is that I did other shopping on those days and received credit.

One of those companies I shop with all the time. BUT, this time I shopped for the restaurant, used my corporate card and had it shipped to my home which is not my billing address on the corporate card. It was the Christmas gifts for the staff......couldn't very well ship it to the restaurant. They called me to verify and THEN put the order through. Good thing I only placed half the order. I told them I would be ordering again. The 2nd order went through and I got credit. It was $16 credit so that one is going to hurt if it doesn't come through.

I read that online shopping had increased nearly 30% this year. Maybe the merchants were overwhelmed.

Out of all the shopping I did.....the 5 TT's are nothing compared to the $$ I did make because of SR. The other ones are piddle.....I'm praying that $16 comes through. Fingers, toes, eyes and other body parts crossed for all of us.

To me the credit for the 5 purchases, even though small, make a big difference, because I am not a huge earner...So any increase in my credits, no matter how small, makes a difference...I hope they come through. I hope everyone else's do to! For all our sakes and also for SR's.

I don't know what it is either because I've been filing a large number of TTs as well. I can only think that it is because of the large amount of traffic the merchants are getting that things are getting lost. The oddest thing is this:

placed an order from Macy's on Day X
Placed a second order from Macy's on Day X+1
Macy's order #1 pends no problem.
Place a Third order from Macy's on Day X+5
Place a 4th order from Macy's on Day X+8
Macy's order #3 pends with no trouble. Nada on orders 2 & 4. Nothing was different with any of them. Cleared cookies, same browser, nothing running in the back. Definitely something on Macy's side.

Surprisingly, we haven't seen THAT many trouble tickets come through given the number of purchases that we have had in the last month. Our purchases have gone up by about double and our trouble tickets are not much higher than usual. Of course, a lot of SR members who aren't really die hard (check the forum, understand the trouble ticket system, etc) probably just assume if a credit doesn't come through that they are out of luck.

One interesting thing is that about 90% of our trouble tickets come from the same 10 members. Out of 12,000 members, that is very weird. Again...it could be that a lot of members just don't bother with the trouble tickets.

I'll have to see if all of my credits came through for my purchases this year because I did almost all of my shopping online. It's frustrating for me to think that we might be losing a lot of money where people just don't file the trouble tickets. On the other hand, we have had a LOT of trouble tickets denied because we were told that people clicked on other coupon sites after they clicked on our links.

I've had a great success rate overall with credits. As much shopping as I do I really can't complain if a couple don't post. Of course, I WANT all of my earnings but I know it's a chance sometimes.

I just hate it when I'm looking for it to count towards something, like make SM, contests and such. And if it's a large amount!

Right now I'm waiting on two credits. I've already filed a TT for Finish Line and I need to wait a little longer for my HSN purchase. That two points for the contest that I'm gonna be missing because I just can't see any of these TT's being resolved before the New Year.:(

Here's to all of our TT's being resolved!:sunshine:

I have had great success this season with credits.

I am actually one of the few that rarely does a trouble ticket if I don't see a credit. I hate to make waves. Though I did fill one out for photostamps because that one was $7.50. And they did give it to me.

I just wish amazon would give us credit. :rotfl::rotfl:

I have two outstanding, one merchant I've had to file a TT for before. The other, I never shopped at, but have read others say they needed to file a TT. Part of me wants to wait in hopes they credit next quarter - the the other part wants the entries in the Holiday Contest. Decisions, decisions.

I have two sitting out there too. One with Starbucks I filed a TT for and one with Office Depot. Both kinda are for SM status too.

When I look at my TT history, I see that I've rarely had to file a TT. Of course, I don't do an enormous amount of shopping, but sometimes I'll do several in a flurry - and usually have no trouble. From Thanksgiving, I had a large order with Target where I had to file a TT, but finally, after 3 1/2 wks from the day of the order I got the credit!:) Also, I have done some orders over the last few days that haven't pended yet - but I'm thinking maybe by Monday some of those will come through, just slow because of the holiday.

See what Tricia said! If we don't get the credit, Sunshine doesn't get their share either. We want Sunshine to prosper! File those TTs! :)

I figure that amazon goes to help Sunshine give out prizes, etc. I've nearly had to smack my darling husband the last month or so, because he works in the Kindle dept at amazon, has to ORDER them, orders several at a time, and he keeps forgetting to click through sunshine! AUGH. I think I now have gotten it through his head that clicking through SR is a good thing for the future of SR!

So Tricia, if you keep seeing large orders (and if you can see the items, if it's Kindle stuff) and credits for you guys come through, it could very well be DH. :sunshine:

I've had all of my shopping come through as pending already - even my Best Buy order from 12/21!

I had two Best Buy orders in November I had to file TT's on (and probably the last 5 orders from there too) so I was quite shocked to see it come through and so soon too. Hopefully whatever problem I was having with them is fixed.

I now have missing credits for 6 purchases...plus 3 purchases that I just made yesterday that I am waiting on. I don't know what is going on, but I don't like it!!

Cindy had me switch over to Firefox because I was filing TTs almost daily the first 2 weeks of December. I've noticed that I'm doing better with getting things to credit from surveys, to freebies, to shopping. I still have a few missing shopping credits but it isn't as bad as it was. If you haven't switched you might want to consider it.

I haven't done to bad with Safari. With that being said I haven't seen my last Disney Shopping order. Had to buy the legos that are the park exclusive on there. Guys, xmas next year get them
