anyone get credits for ebay purchases? I have made several, without credit. I haven't filed a TT, because I think I remember Tricia saying that ebay is kind of a take it or leave it. maybe I was wrong about that. But just wondered if anyone has had any success.

yes my ebay varies.
eBay 0.15 Credits 01/24/2010 Credit Hold until 02-21-2010
was credited on 1/27 so it took 3 days for this one.
I have had some take way longer.

I usually have no problem getting credit but my most recent purchase back in December did not for some reason. I cleared cookies right before the purchase and there is no reason other than being the holiday season that it should not have credited...I did not file a TT either because it was only for .07 and I figured it wasn't worth the trouble to Tricia.

90% of the time my ebay shopping comes through without a problem. Since it is only 1% or 2% on a $10 or $20 item I tend not to worry if the credit doesn't show up.

I never have an ebay problem either, and yes, we cannot even ask them for credit. They don't accept TT inquires from anyone.

If you shop a long time before placing your bid or using Buy It Now (BIN), your click in from SR may expire. Sounds weird and this may not be exactly what happens....but I can't think of why you wouldn't get credit.
If I'm shopping on ebay I go look clicking through the SR link. If I find something I want I put it in my watch list. When I am ready to bid or BIN I close out my browser, clear cookies, log back into SR and then ebay, go to my watch list, find the item and bid or buy.
I shop ebay often and I can't remember a time I have not received credit from ebay using this system. Maybe it will work for you too.
There are a couple of other merchants I do this for too...I think DisneyStore is one. Their website really gets bogged down if they are having a sale and it can take hours to look at stuff.
Hope that helps!

This is exactly what I do and did do when I last ordered and my credit did not come through? Weird because 99% of the time I do get credit and it's usually in my account as pending in two days from placing the order. Just a flukey thing I guess?

A vast majority of my credits are with eBay. I am a eBayholic :) However, a couple did not credit at Christmas time. I have no idea the reason because all the rest have credited easily and quickly. I won 2 auctions and did a BIN on 1/21 and they just showed up as pending in my account yesterday. I think they sometimes show up quicker but that is still fast and they are pending from the 21st when I actually won and paid for the items. HTH

I have never had a problem getting credit for ebay shopping except one time the credit didn't come through. I have no idea why, I didn't do anything differently than usual. Just a weird fluke I guess.

Know what i do? I go on ebay just regular... if i see something i want, i copy the item number(s). go through sunshine, search that item number, and buy or bid right away. when it comes time to pay, log back in through SR again. i find that to be a good system. ebay is great for me, its practically my only credits right now besides scratchers and paid clicks.

I'm about 1 for 5 in getting credit for eBay purchases. After winning an auction, I close all browser windows, open a new browser, clear my eBay cookies and then log into SR and make the purchase using the "if none of the banner ads above work, click here" link at the bottom of the eBay page. It's gotten to the point that I really don't feel like shopping with this merchant anymore.
I'll be submitting another TT this Sunday for my last eBay purchase since it has yet to show in my history.

Is it possible that there is something on your computer that might be blocking or intercepting the cookies? Like a toolbar that you installed or an anti-virus program? Is it only ebay that you have problems with or others as well?

I had posted earlier that I have been really lucky with eBay purchases and all had come through except a couple around the holidays. Well I had another not come through on a purchase made Feb 10. It was for a video game, everything else I purchased before and after it credited. That made me realize the credits I did not receive at Christmas time were for Video games also. That seems to be a pattern. Is it possible that the credits you are not receiving have been for video games???

I don't have any toolbars or cookie blockers installed and am running the same anti-virus program that I've been running for quite some time. I've had only 1 eBay purchase credit of 5 attempts but have other merchants credit fine (Best Buy). My last eBay purchase from this past Sunday was for $62.02 so I'm hoping that it will show since that's good Mickey money there.

I have gotten pending credit every time by login in and going thru Sunshine Rewards to bid and then also go thru Sunshine Rewards to Ebay to pay.
When I paid thru a winning link thru my e-mail, then I did not get credit.

Chalk up yet another eBay purchase where they didn't credit. My trouble ticket was closed today saying eBay shows that I clicked on the SR link AFTER I made my purchase. WHAT??? Not sure how they figured that one but that makes $0.74 that eBay hasn't credited me for February. I think I'm done shopping with them for a while.

One thing to keep in mind about ebay is that they will not even accept our disputes. So the best that we can do is go back and review the reports that they give us. They are very picky about when they credit. You can't have anything on your computer that would make them think that you clicked through somewhere else or placed a bid on an item before you came to SR. Even if you placed a first bid that didn't actually win.
That said, we have a LOT of ebay transactions credit. We actually have more ebay transactions credit every day than any other merchant. I'm not sure why yours aren't crediting and they won't help us figure it out. :(

This is how I do it as well. I have only had 1 not credit and it was only going to be worth 20 cents so I didn't worry about it.
If anyone is an avid ebayer that often forgets about using SR, Tricia taught us a neat trick years ago on making a desktop shortcut and linking it to our SR account. I don't remember how to do it now but it might be worth searching the forums for.
