opinions on tax software

Does anyone have a preference? Trying to figure out which one I should use. Any pros/cons of each? Thanks!

I do taxes for myself and for all of my family. My favorite program is taxact, I think it is user friendly and a good program.

I used freetax this year through SR for 3 of the returns I prepared. I felt like it was an excellent program for people who have simple returns or who know exactly what they are looking for/are experienced at filing taxes. I don't need a lot of hand-holding so I don't pay extra for it on either program.

I also really liked that federal filing was free on both programs, and the state return was only $10 on freetax. It was $15 on taxact.
