In view of the recent overwhelming anxiety, anger and depression many of us have faced while dealing with the presence of OTX in our lives, I decided I needed a support group.

I am in no way defending OTX because I had a dud survey from them before. It is so frustrating when that happens.I just wanted to give my experience from an OTX that I had this morning.

It was about baby formula although it started out asking questions that were all over the place. When it finally got to the point where it said the survey was going to be about formula I was kind of shocked. That's not where the lead up questions seemed to be going at all. Anyway, since I had read everyone's problems with OTX in the last few days I took my time with this survey. I opened up another window and did some stuff there and would then go back and do a page.

At the start it said it would take 25-35 min. and I made it last for 40. I clicked on next at the end and it took a REALLY long time taking me back to SR and the congrats page. But it did. I think maybe they are monitoring how long you are on each page, not just the overall time it takes for the survey.

OTX is the worst ever.
I always take my time on the surverys and even though most say it will take 'X' amount of time it usually takes me longer.
I've tried about 3 of these before I FINALLY got smart.

Do these come through greenfield or is it a totally different company? I was shocked that someone did get credit for one. Congrats

You go along thinking maybe if I just take it slow this time... it will work... I know it will... I just have to be patient. Then it starts to suck you in with a few gentle questions... sure the first ones seem logical... "what cable provider do you have, what networks do you get, how many hours do you watch each of them." Oh, yes, folks, you are thinking "this time will be different"! But then, it starts.... what energy drinks are you familiar with? do you suffer from asthma, depression, or constipation, how long was your last buble bath. As the randomness of the questions build so does your anxiety... you know what's ahead... you've been there before... how could you be so foolish as to think this time would be different!!!!!? And then it happens....

I could not have said it better myself. Even after 20 failed attempts I think: "This will be the one that credits. Slowly... don't click that mouse too hard... don't breathe while it moves to the next page. Yay, I made it to the a new page. OK, slowly...."

I always have problems with OTX even on other survey sites. Once I actually qualified for a survey on a TV program on HGTV. OTX was supposed to send me an e-mail reminder to watch the show on the day it aired. I got the e-mail the day AFTER it aired.

Today I cringed when I got another OTXsurvey.

However, it only asked me a few preliminary questions, told me I was pre-qualified, then took me into a survey about casinos - and it credited!!!

Perhaps OTX has heard about this thread??!??

Ditto...called DD9 in to do a survey after answering a jillion questions, like she is boy or girl between ages of 8-11, which she is, only to find out that didn't want a nine yr old girl. And, that is only one of the many I have tried, today.:computer:

Even though I KNOW better, this morning I seemed to get OTX after OTX survey and the temptation was just too great... same thing happened to me, I'm embarassed to say 3 times.... wil I NEVER learn???! :rotfl:

I did finally get a different one on wine from Ciao, I think. That went through fine, thank goodness, since I found today particularly tough qualifying for any survey.

I was able to get another OTX to credit for me today - one on new movies coming out. It was actually fast and easy. I suppose I can't totally hate OTX anymore...just semi hate them for now...:rotfl:

UG! I'm trying so hard to make survey bonus levels, and surveys are so hard for me to get, that I can't take the risk of just not doing a type of survey...

Watch out for the beef one(OTX(... it won't let you proceed after a certain point (ranking statements)... it will say you did it incorrectly no matter how you do it.

I read this back sometime, I think from Cindy, to uncheck all the financial, office supply, etc ones. Just check off the most basic things, like fast food, primary shopper, etc. I did that and has helped, still get OTX, which I close and start over, but seems to weed out those CC surveys. They bug me!

I was trying to stick it out for the long haul with surveys this month, but for the past week I haven't been able to get hardly ANYTHING. I've given them tons of information from how much I like beef, what kind of tv stations I have, to what kind of cell phone I have and always after about 10 minutes through the survey, I'm then turned down. I don't mind spending some time on the surveys when I'm going to get to finish it for credit, but it's getting to the point where I don't even want to do them.

I definitely am tired of the OTX ones too!

I got the OTX beef survey today. It asked me to bring my 6 year old daughter to the computer to complete a portion of the survey, but then it went onto some very complicated questions that would have been way over her head. Eventually it started asking about cooking and shopping and I realized that these questions were not intended for my daughter at all. The survey was very poorly organized and did not make alot of sense. At the end, it asked me to rate the survey and I gave it a rating of "Poor".

I was desperate and I did not close an OTX tonight. It was on beef and colon cancer. I am watching the NASCAR race; so I waited almost a minute between each question. Seriously, the survey took two hours! But I had something to do, so I thought I'd try.

Anyway I got through the survey. The last question asked on a scale of 0 -- 10, how likey would you be to recommend OTX to your friends. I gave them 1!!!! :angel:

Finally was able to complete one from another company but I feel like I'm beginning to see OTX everywhere... under the bed, in the closets, in the frozen food compartment of my fridge... they're taking over!!! :rotfl:

Wonderful! I've had two that have completed in the last 2 weeks, and plenty more that I get kicked out of. As I said before, I think all those random questions are trying to line you up for a lot of different surveys. I think they keep asking them until you qualify for one of their surveys, or until you qualify for none of them. This is just a theory, and I certainly don't have a crystal ball.

I had gotten a survey for everyday, until yesterday. Never did get one and I certainly tried. Didnt even qualify for the vodka and panty one:confused: I was excited when I seen them after seeing others comments on them. I evidentally wear too big of pantys and dont drink enough vodka.
