is there a merchant that we can use to purchase the (as my son puts it) "to die for" wii console and recieve % back? The ones I have found so far doesn't give percentages back gaming systems. Am I missing something? Trying to get big ticket items for Christmas done this week.

TIA!!

I think Best Buy is 2%, but they are sold out right now.

Earn 2% back on Consumer Electronics, Furniture and Telephones within Home Office, Accessories, Music, Movies, Software and Video Games (hard and software). Earn 1% back on everything else (including computers, peripherals, and photo).

Circuit City is 1%, including store pickup, but also sold out.

Dell Home & Home Office is 1%, but looks like they only have the system w/ a bundle at $550 (search for Wii on their site, they also have games.)

Good luck! DD wanted this last year and this year too, I was hoping the price would drop, but it is still sold out so often, they'll probably be a Wii 2 before any such luck of a price drop!

If you find a WII, buy it, they are sold out everywhere. As soon as stores get them in, they are gone. I was lucky enough to get one at a game stop, it was the last one they had.

Yeah, they are pretty much sold out everywhere! My DD18 wants one also. Haven't agreed to buying one, but I guess it is cheaper than that car she wants also. :rotfl:

I think best buy is the only option for getting a % back on video game consoles. I am going to go ahead and buy mike's game stuff this weekend and get it over with. I have a feeling it might go fast closer to christmas.

I feel lucky then I guess, all the stores around here by me have them in stock. DS8 has been chomping at the bit for one, but his father and I decided back in June at his bday that he would have to save his own money for one. WE bought him a PS2 two years ago, and a Nintendo DS lite last year for his bday. I want him to appreciate the value of a hard earned dollar. We've been giving him an allowance and what he has saved from his bday and other holidays he's at $180 now. Hubby and I agreed that once he had enough saved to get it that we would kick in for hte tax and the extra controller (which is $50 and they only give you ONE!) etc. I may pick it up soon and hold onto it though, knowing the closer it gets to the holidays the sooner they'll sell out. I'm still not sure yet, but I do know every store i"ve been into the last 2 weeks have had them in stock. I think $249.99 is a fair price for them considering all the other systems are over $400!

I think you can get 1% back at circuit city, they actually had them in stock at the beginning of the week, but sold out super quick. My son is asking for one too but he has so many other game systems. I am definately debating rather to get it or not.

My DS8 also really wants one of these. He has Playstation 2 and tons of games. I hte to start the whole process over cause the games are so expensive. But it seems wildly popular.

My DD7 wants one too. My best friend's husband has one and SHE loves going to visit so she can play his. Santa is bringing a trip to WDW though this year so alas, there will be no Wii under our tree. My brothers were talking about it though and I did tell them (both are 18 and this is there first Christmas as working adults) that if they went together and bought her one, I'd be sure that she got a game and the extra controller. There in the stores here though. I haven't looked specifically the last couple times I was in Wal-Mart, but Cameron loves to go play the video games and I notice them frequently.

Sold out already. I told my friend who wanted one, she tried and it let her put it in her cart but when she went to check out they told her it wasn't available anymore. :(

Best Buy just informed me that they are not giving a commission on them until they are not so easily sold out.

Now what kind of message does that send to us affiliates? That if it is something that people are going to buy no matter what, they don't want to bother to pay us for the sales???

I hope that this does not start to be the norm that only items that do not sell can get rewards.... This just does not seem right... I can understand some of them not giving anything or as much back on some categories but to say items that will or wont is just crazy for you crazy for us and crazy for them.....

When you get your Wii, you will probably want a second set of controllers. There is a game called Wii Play that includes an extra main controller. The games sells for about the same price as the controller, so you are basically getting a free game. You will also want to make sure to buy an extra nunchuck. Nunchucks hook into the basic controller and are needed to play certain games. Those go for about 20. The Wii games are quite expensive. We are using gamefly. It's nice to send back games that the kids don't like!

Yes, I found online at Gamestop that you can pre order the bundle (ships 10/28 or there abouts) for $419.xx it comes with 2 Mario games (worth $100) the Wii, an extra numchuck AND the Wii Play which is the game and extra main controller. So I called my Gamestop and talked to the guy about it, basically it's the same price if you were to buy these in the store just bundled together but you get a Wii just paying more for all the extra's plus 2 ames but it's a guarentee you'll get one. My Gamestop has also told me that they've been getting shipments everyday M-F and at least 1 if not 2 of those have 10 Wii's on them. he told me that if I called and said hold it for an hour they would to allow me to get up there and get it. (Only live 5 mins from it)
They were really nice he also told me what time to call each day to allow them to unload the shipment and said don't worry they like when customers call looking for it bc they know their interested. So I thought that was good customer sevice too!
