Yeah, sad to say I ate the bag of the one with the walnuts the other day.

I'm glad they are gone, cause now I don't have to keep thinking of them sitting in my pantry and imagine them calling me name!!! Now I just have to stay off the web site!!!

A knish (the "k" is pronounced) is an Eastern European (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eastern_European) snack food popular in Jewish (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish) communities. A knish consists of a filling (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filling_%28cooking%29) covered with dough (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dough) that is either baked (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baked) or fried (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fried). Knishes can be purchased from street vendors (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Street_vendor) in urban areas with a large Jewish population, sometimes at a hot dog stand (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_dog_stand).
In the most traditional versions, the filling is made entirely of mashed potato (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mashed_potato), ground meat, sauerkraut (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sauerkraut), onions (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Onions), kasha (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kasha) (buckwheat groats) or cheese (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheese). More modern varieties of fillings feature sweet potatoes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweet_potatoes), black beans (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_beans), fruit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fruit), broccoli (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broccoli), tofu (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tofu) or spinach (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spinach).
Many cultures have variations on baked or fried dough-covered snacks similar to the knish: the Jamaican patty (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamaican_patty), the Spanish and Latin American empanada (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Empanada) or Papa rellena (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Papa_rellena) and the South Asian samosa (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samosa) and the Bahavian Nakishka.
Knishes may be round or square/rectangular. They may be entirely covered in dough or some of the filling may peek out of the top. Sizes range from those that can be eaten in a single bite hors d'oeuvre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hors_d%27oeuvre) to sandwich (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sandwich)-sized knishes that can serve as an entire meal.

OMG... I Love Dale and Thomas. I got some free awhile back. It had 6 different flavors. And then on one of my Walgreens trips I found 2 boxes with 4 bags ea. in it with a 20.00 gc marked at 4.99. So.... The GC's I am saving for Christmas Gifts.

While sifting through the DIS budget board there is a link to a $20 gift card. :) It is in the freebie thread if you are interested. I have never tried it, but with a free $20 I might have too.

That would be a good deal for the 6 bag sampler of 28.00 and 7.95 shipping brings the cost down to only 15.95 or about 2.66 a bag and i think SM get 7% back as well....

I wish I had a LNT or Walgreens close to me. I just don't want to drive into town, 30 minutes in and 30 minutes back, to see if they have the boxes! But I want them! :) Looks like a great deal

Ok, I'm not understanding, What is the DIS? I know where the freebies are
but I am still trying to find my way around to all the GOOD stuff.
So be gentle with me.

The DIS is a message board about disney...

The Internet's Largest Unofficial On-Line Guide to Walt Disney World
www.wdwinfo.com

On the left menu is a link to their Discussion Forums.

HTH! The site has alot of great Disney info. :mickey:

This is on the SR page...

Unless specifically mentioned, sales do not include the purchase of gift certificates/cards or purchases made with gift certificates/cards.

So it will probably nix the SR credit. I hope it is ok to try for it anyway, I didn't read that until after :o Don't want to lose any SR mojo!

I am sorry guys. I was looking at the posts at the DIS and none said an ending date but both kernel and emptynesters do not work right now, But the code we got for the $20.00 off is good until December 2008 so I am going to wait until I see another free shipping code and use it then.

Good luck guys!

I AM SOOO BUMBED:( I placed two orders for the cinnamon cream since I LOVE this one and you can't get it by itself. Well, I got my two packages today and one order is the cinnamon cream but the other one is the toffee walnut one. I didn't want that one. I almost cried. (you can laugh, it's ok) I really don't want to complain since they were free minus the s/h.

I'm so glad I don't like popcorn! I ordered the free bags and they'll go in my sisters' Christmas gift baskets, along with some Boca Java!
