I got a private message today and it was very strange, from someone with no posts. Is this normal? Is it something that I should report to someone? Did anyone else get it?? Thanks! It started out talking about buddhism.

I think a bunch may have, as I look at who is online, it shows quite a few new ones are private messaging, so I assume all have received. Just be careful. I dont know what it is or what it says. Does it have any links on it. Maybe you can forward it to SunshineCindy and let her get to the bottom of it. :confused:

I didn't get one either, but at least on this page, the people that didn't get the PM had quite a few posts and the one that did get the PM had under 100 posts. I wonder if that had anything to do with it????

I think everyone that was getting them was online at the time he was sending them. Like he was using the active user list at the bottom to send the pm's to. I know I wasn't on when it was first reported.

He might have been sending to active users but I wasn't online at the time i recieved it. Though he was banned by the time I opened it a few minutes ago. I found it odd because a week I got the same exact PM on the passporter boards but i never actually logged in to read it LOL. Whoever it is must be making the rounds of different boards.

I just made a temporary change to the boards that will not allow people with less than 25 posts to send PMs (I think!). Once I can get home and tinker with it, I'll lower it to 5 or 10. But it should keep things clean until I get home.

I think I only had written 24 posts at that point. I knew the person said he/she was new so I thought I would send a welcome. Now that was dumb! I guess you live and learn and I won't make that mistake again unless I recognize someone from here.
