Twice tonight (each 15 min survey) I completed everything and when I clicked to get credit this appears:

504 Gateway Time-out
The server didn't respond in time.

really stinks to spend 1/2 of my time and get nothing for it.

Anyone else experience this?

I got that this afternoon. I was pretty annoyed because I had gotten to the end and nothing. I know other people reported problems earlier in the day, but some were able to take one and get credit. I am going to try again and see what happens. Good luck to you!

Read the other thread that I started this morning...a few people reported having this same issue.

For what it's worth, I had tried right clicking and reloading on the Gateway error page with no luck. Second time I got it when reload didn't work I hit the refresh button on my browser and then the survey continued to completion and I did get the credit. I figured I had nothing to lose and was surprised that it worked.

i have had a lot of survey error messages from SSI today too. I even cleared cookies and ran AVG to see if it was my computer and it did it again. All different types of error messages too.

Just finished an SSI. As soon as I was done instead of the regular page I got the time out one. Its one thing to get it when I try to get a survey but to get one when I finish is really annoying. It said that the server didnt respond on time. I hope I get a credit.

yep, count me in too.

But 5/6 surveys for today isn't bad.

Thought I'd try ONE more time....maybe 3rd time would be a charm. 30 minutes later, finished 3rd survey, got 3rd time out....still no credit...calling it a night! I'm gonna wait until I hear that they have this issue fixed before I bother with these anymore. I don't mind getting kicked out at the beginning of a survey but an hour wasted today with no credit is just too much.:(

I just took an SSI. It did go through without going to the time out page. Hopefully the problem is fixed and I will get credit.

It has credited!! It must be fixed.

I also took one today and got all the way through and it credited at the top of the next hour.

Has anyone ever finished an SSI survey only to be directed right into another survey? I got through a 20 minute survey, got a completion page that took me right into another nine minute survey. Scared to finish it...scared not to finish it!

Did it ask you first if you wanted to do another survey? If it did that's usually what happens to me - I just close the window and move on. No need to do another survey.

On another note - count me as one who got the Gateway Time out message after spending 20 minutes on a survey! Very frustrating! :computer:

I've completed SSI 3 nights in a row using IE!

I took another and it worked. And I use IE not firefox, so my issue wasn't related to ff.

I've been able to complete them over the past couple days with IE, but they still aren't crediting. I've tried a bunch of different settings, maybe i'll try FF on my desktop instead of the laptop.

do you have any toolbars installed or possibly installed a new program or changed settings within the last few days?

No, I don't have any toolbars installed or any new programs. SSI has actually never credited for me since it's been available, but I get offer/survey/shopping credits fine. I've tried clearing cookies and then taking it, but it doesn't seem to work.

Are you using Firefox or a more current version of IE? Some people have reported having issues getting them to credit with FF. Might I suggest you change browsers and use a different one than you have been using? Let me know if it works for you.

I use Firefox for all my surveys and don't have problems with credits. I'm using Firefox version 3.5.9, if that helps anyone.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.9) Gecko/20100315 Firefox/3.5.9 ( .NET CLR 3.5.30729)

I'm using IE7 on a laptop. I'm going to try FF on my desktop (i'm not sure what version it's running, but I haven't done any updates to it lately)

I think we've given all the suggestions that we possibly can. Some things work for some members and others work for other members. All I can suggest is to keep trying to see what works and then stick with it.
