Walmart Secret In-Store Specials $348 Acer Laptop

OK I know, no SR rewards, but who is going shopping tomorrow for Walmarts Secret In-Store Specials Black Friday Has Come Early.... Big Note is the Acer 1GB Laptop for only $348 and an HD-DVD player for only $98 and a Sanyo 50" Plasma TV for only $998....

The dvd player sounds great but since my family got burned way back when beta came out I don't want to jump on any bandwagons until the debate is settled.

How did you hear about the early sale? I need to get in on these things :)

Thanks for the heads up Bryan! I thought that sale was for the day after Thanksgiving. My friend's daughter wants one for x-mas! And I just happened to have tomorrow off!

This Friday, starting at 8am on November 2nd, 2007, Walmart will have 5 items on sale for “Black Friday Prices” at Walmart retail stores. Those items will be:

I think that i will be arriving at about 4am to hope to get a spot in line, i called my local walmart and they told me they did not have the $348 but a $448 acer laptop if i do not fall asleep i will try and tell you all how it goes tomorrow! The worst thing is i dont even know if i want it yet but with 15days to return it should give me fair time to see how good a product it will be!

Well i just got back and got me one, now to turn it on and see if its a keeper!

DS and I just got back. We got the DVD player and laptop. I'll let DH check them out later to see if they are keepers! Oh and a Cars diecast for DS because he was soooooo good!:)

This is why I do not shop at Walmart. My husband is over there right now, trying to get the 50" tv and they are telling him it doesn't start until Sunday! :(

Well i did hear that not all stores would be doing the 8am special today, but even the one i was at had no clue really what was going on where to go or anything!


Right now i am trying to find a way to remove the D: partition and add it to the C: becuase acer likes to make 2 partitions! Off to Linux!

The one I was at didn't have a "plan" when people started showing up. They told people just to shop around, but we stuck around. They had 10 DVD's so we got in line for those (I was 6th). They had about 70 of the laptops though. They also had about 20 Wii's (not discounted though).

Hopefully if they are going to do more of these sales before Christmas, they will get a better plan in place. It really would have been nice to get a number and be able to at least walk around the store...oh well!

I was able to get 2 laptops (one for me and one for my friend's daughter). When I pulled up there was no line and a lady was coming out with bags of stuff. She said the store opened at 7:00. So I rushed in there, and with no line, got my items. Yeah! :cooldance: :cooldance:

Just to warn you about the acer computers...my worksite just purchased a bunch of acer pcs and almost half of them crashed within the first day. Hopefully the laptops are better!! :computer:

LOL i crashed mine three times in 24 hours... Working the bugs out and rebuilding it so that it has worked great since! (I always strip out all the programs that are not needed or wanted)
