I think it was GiveUsYour2cents? but not positive, so many surveys now it's hard to keep track. :D

Mine was from SSI.
It was so ironic because I just got an e-mail within the last two days, from DVC, asking me to take a survey on my recent stay. It appeared to be a survey created by the same company, but it was a different survey.
Hmmmm....makes me wonder what Disney is planning for 2011:wizard:.

I got that one too!! It was great! Then I got another one.....had to send DH out to get me a drink. :rotfl: The day before I did one on kids toys.....based of a show they were watching at that exact moment! Funny how things work out like that.
Gee......think I can get a survey about what I would do if I win the lottery??;)

Very cool!
But....I thought we weren't allowed to mention the specific company/brand/product the survey was about? Did that change?

me too. it is amazing how some of the mods jump all over some people for some things and ignore others.

Wow....Harsh!
I think the difference here is that no one is complaining about a survey.....we're actually celebrating them and discussing how much enjoyment we get out of them, which the survey company's would like.

Oh I am green with envy. I haven't had any of those ones. I guess I better try again ....maybe I can get lucky and get it.

I think it's more that no one has noticed this yet. I count several posts on the first page that have named the company involved in the survey.
Really, I don't want to be a pain or spoil the fun, but it occurred to me it might be better to speak up since the mods haven't caught this yet. I don't want SR to lose surveys!

I think this was my fault. The mods didn't weigh in because I had actually participated in the conversation as well. We probably shouldn't talk about it, but I think we're okay as long as we don't say what the survey was about. Just "Disney" is really broad. What the advertisers don't want is for product information or "secrets" to get leaked on our boards. Or for us to be criticizing certain brands in a public forum. I'm guilting for participating in this case.

What about naming restaurants from surveys now? I know it used to be taht you could say you did a survey about a new KFC product, you had to say famous chicken restaurant.
I did have a pretty cool survey (two about the same product, actually, but different commercials) via SSI a few weeks ago. I really want to try this product and checked the company's Facebook page to see if it was available yet, since I'm a fan of them. Nope--but they did announce last week that it should be in stores in about a month!

We technically shouldn't be discussing surveys we have taken at all. We agree in every survey that we will not disclose the surveys we are taking. We try to catch the posts that discuss specific surveys when they happen. However, we are not on here 24/7 and sometimes they get overlooked, as do other posts. Especially since I have been checking email from blackberry. Somehow it affects my new posts that show up and I missed about 15 posts completely last week so now I have to use the search function and today's posts.
We are never out to attack or "jump all over" anyone. We are simply trying to enforce the rules of the forum. If you see a post you think breaks the rules of the forum and we haven't responded then the best course of action is to hit the "report post" icon at the top of the post and it will alert all of the moderators to the post so we can handle it. I apologize to anyone who feels as though we did not do our job this morning but the only post that I saw originally was the first post made by the OP. The next I saw of the thread was the post that accused us of playing favorites.

I'm sorry, Janet. I realize the mods are not around at all times, which is why I waited a while before I made the original comment. Thank you for explainign the purpose of the report post button. I never realized what that did before.

No problem! That is actually a great button and it helps us immensely. We have some members who catch things for us all the time and report it. We welcome the help because there are a lot of posts everyday and we really are just trying to help out and make this a place everyone enjoys coming and to help Tricia grow SR and follow the rules she has agreed to abide by. I think I have fixed the posts and made them abide by the rules while still letting everyone who reads the thread be able to understand what we are talking about. I had to LOL when I had to change one name to "happiest place on west coast" :rotfl:
