FBI logo????

I posted this on the unofficial thread, and someone suggested cross posting here:

Hi- I've been trying to do the Halo offer and all it does is pull up the FBI logo. I've been doing offers for a couple of months (giving honest info!) and never seen this before. Is it me, or is it the offer??? I went and did other offers with no problems.

It could be the offer. I think this happened to another offer earlier this week. Its definetly not you.

I tried doing a quick search for that thread but I couldn't find it. I'm not sure what was the final answer but I think it had to do with the site/advertiser definetly not SR users.

Is it possible that you did this offer before, on another gpt site?

I have received this type of logo one time before. And it was on an offer that I realized I had already done on another site. If the advertiser tracks by ip address and you have done this offer before, that logo is probably a warning that you have.

BTW, this is just my thinking. I have no knowledge that this is the case. Just something I'm throwing out there. HTH!

I'm with Kycha. I've gotten it before when I completed an offer and then later went to make sure that my link was still working.

Hmm this must be a new thing then. I know before when I've clicked on ones that track by ip I get a message that just says this offer is not available in your area at this time.

I think it's only one particular merchant that we use. I don't see it very often.

I saw it a few days ago on the Shopdani offer because I had already completed the offer and went back to check for some contact information and it wouldn't let me into the offer and gave me that logo.

I'm getting the FBI warning about fraud instead of the link when I try to do the new freebie offer (E-Consumer Gifts). Any idea why this happening? Is there anything I should do? Am I going to be arrested?:rotfl: :rotfl:

I get that logo for that offer also. It has to be because we have completed offers from them before and so we are showing up as having already completed the offer. They must track by IP because it happens even after I clear cookies and I don't even get to a point to enter any information. Just an offer I will have to skip for awhile LOL not a big deal. I think that sometimes if you wait a month or so it will go away.

I actually switched just now who we are pulling the offer through. The other merchant was DEFINITELY checking you against their database to see if you have completed the offer before on any site.

That's interesting b/c I don't do offers on any other sites. I did a handful on one other site last spring BEFORE joining Sunshine Rewards, but I do nothing but clicks there -- haven't done anything else for six months or so. Obviously, my history is staying with me!
