Survey Challenge: November 2010 [Archive]

Well I think I aimed a tad too high for October and November I have a business trip to Baton Rouge for a week then I'll have the puppies home the next week and Thanksgiving in San Antonio. I think I'm going to aim for 70 surveys vs. 90 last month.

What is your goal going to be? Did anyone see the latest offer on the survey challenge in last month's thread? ;)

With thanksgiving and an all weekend Girl Scout Leadership training seminare, I'm worried to go for my 90 that I did in October. But I do still have my Disney Fund to build......so I"m going for 90 again!! Gotta work work work!!

I really think I could do 90 but I think I want to aim for 80 this month. I'm at 62 right now for October.

Oh, did I fall WAAAAYYY short of my goal for October. It was my own fault since I "fell off the wagon". Once I go a few days without trying for any, it is SO hard to plop myself back on the computer and start trying again.

On the bright side (for now), I am not currently training anyone at work so I can use my down time at work to keep trying the surveys. I am really going to start applying myself a little more. I *really* want to cash out on February 28 (to PayPal) so that I can have the money by March 31. I need a total of $700 and so I need to earn over $200 in the next 3 months! YIKES!!!

So, my survey goal for November is going to be....75! It should be 90 since I shoot for 3/day=$2/day, but I just want to actually make the goal this month.

Since Monday is November 1, are we counting the Greenfield Surveys from Friday, Saturday and Sunday as OCTOBER surveys (since that's when we took them) or NOVEMBER surveys (since that's when they will credit)?

On my spreadsheet, they are OCTOBER surveys, but I'm guessing that they aren't considered "official" until they credit.

What's the ruling?

Right now, I'm at 78/90 for October, so I'm going to set the bar at 80 in November for myself.

I just keep missing 90 by "that much" ;)
85 in September was my best survey month ever.

Yep, I think with Thanksgiving and all, 80 will be a push - but I'll aim for it!

Last month's goal was 90. I just counted 111 (to my surprise). I will try to get 115 for November. It was really tough (but fun as well) so I want to give it a shot.:sunshine:

I am going for 93. Tricia said we will be entered into a prize if we beat our last months goal.

I love the survey that asks how many hours you work in a week, and if you work for any other kind of money. Um, yes I do. I figure I spend at least 2-3 hours a day doing surveys. It is definately work.

I never thought of it that way!! But, yes, we do work for our surveys don't we!!!!

And Kristen - and don't know how to do a second quote - I always count my surveys when I take them - so the October surveys counted for October.

So my goal for November will be 100 - I made my goal of 120 for October - actually getting 121 but we have friends coming to visit for Thanksgiving so I don't think I will be able to make 120! :sunshine: I'm going to shoot for 120 but will be happy with 100! :sunshine:

update:

I have to work tonight so I am hoping for a little down time right off the bat so I can get a few more in. I tried for the DS but was told there are no surveys available. That's a bummer! I did get a SH to credit on my second try, though, so at least today is not a complete shutout:sunshine:.

My immediate goal is to hit $500 by the end of the week. I am at $490.98 right now....sooooo close...

Thank you to all you Sunshiners who are so positve and encouraging about taking surveys. I have only recently become more focused on taking surveys only through Sunshine. It was a real eye-opener when so many of you are setting goals of taking 90 surveys for the month! I used to hardly even get credit for 1 survey a day.

Quantifying how many surveys taken, or how much you want to earn makes the goal concrete. I was surprised to go back and check my survey counts for the last few months. Total surveys for August: 42; September: 47; October: 58.

I am going to shoot for 60 completed surveys for November, even if it is a shorter month.

The $ fluctuates too depending on which surveys you complete. Although I try for each survey every day, I have determined that I will not take too long to try to qualify for the OTX/AMP just because it pays more. It is actually more reinforcing to qualify and complete a survey (even a small $ one), than keep trying and trying to qualify for an OTX.

Well, it's time to get back to those surveys. Thanks for letting me share/vent.

Sunshine Rewards is a happy way to earn extra $ from home.

Glad to see you're jumping on the survey challenge bandwagon! This thread (along with the Super Member thread) helps motivate me to work past those frustrating days when I can't seem to get any surveys, or get really long tedious surveys. I'll confess, I don't usually get AMP or SH surveys, so I try the others first, even if the pay out is a little less. It all adds up in the end, and if I do qualify for an AMP one day, it's just icing on the cake. :) I hope you make your goal this month!

Since I'm posting, I'll update on myself. I've completed 2/50 so far!

But....dang...I feel left behind. Tried all 5 of mine today(not MV or SH) and nada....nothing. :confused: I thought the first of the month would see a jump, not a decline.

Shooting for 65(but need 68 to exceed October's total-who's goal was 60).

Will try again later on today if I can....

Something has changed with the SR reroute page - it was supposed to be fixed, but the wording is still misleading. If you get this

Well, "I'm" counting that I got 5 today. So far, SSi & M02 credited; GF should credit on Monday-and I'm waiting for SSi2 to credit. The stickler is MTC-took a long(!) one and finished at 3:05pm-yet no credit so far.

So, with 5 today that's 15/65. Really good start to the month. Would love to get a couple over the weekend-fingers crossed!

Got four today-on a Sunday. Woot! New Sunday pb for me. However, one was MTC which hasn't credited yet.

I've tried leaving up the "congrats" page until the session times out-but it's still a crap shoot whether MTC credits or not. Previously I found that I was clearing cookies too fast and that was having an effect on MTC in particular-but now? I haven't a clue.

Even though I got a late start today, I haven't been able to get anything....not even the DS:cry:. It's been a very long day and I am a little tired. I feel quite frustrated and disappointed about going to bed without completing a single survey today. Oh well...I will just get an early, fresh start tomorrow:sunshine:!

I was wondering if it was just me! I have been having a heck of a time getting surveys this month. I was able to get the 90 last month, usually averaging around 3- 4 a day with some days not trying and others getting 6 and 7. This month I try all and if I get one or two I consider myself lucky. Hopefully this slump will pass quickly!

I just finished the AMP(long) and I will check if it credits before I leave for work. I am just trucking right along, but the bad month of October really set me back. Before October, I needed to average $1.75/day in earnings to make my goal. Now, it is about $2/day that I need so I *have* to get three surveys every day:sunshine:. On the bright side, Christmas shopping should help:love:.

ETA: Just added a DS and the SH for today!...that makes THREE!!

I actually just went in to count the all and it's really 53/90 due to the ones that never credited. Oh well, still good I suppose for my first month.

I've completed the DS, SH, MV, SM, AMP and SSI today!! In theory, a six-pack...but the SSI and SM (and obviously the DS) haven't credited yet.

So, *assuming* they all credit, I am at...

41/115. November is much different than October. I had a 90 survey goal in October and got 111. I set the bar higher for November and I think it was a bad idea (as you can see):)

Have had no luck getting SH, AMP, SSI today. "My View" has been working like a dream. I can't believe it. It was a non-survey to me until the past few days. It credits fast too.

I've tried on and off all day, work does get in the way at times, and can't even get a GF. I really dislike days like today, I would say hate but that is a rather strong work for not getting a survey all day after trying at least 5 times with each group. Maybe I will say I hate days like this. Tomorrow has to be better, at least it can be no worse.

Update: 48/115. Got 6 today. SSI 2 did not credit. I shut off the computer (did not clear cookies though) and it never credited when I checked the next morning. It looked like everything would have been fine. Said successfully completed. Oh well!

I haven't been having much luck lately. I've only been able to get 1-2 surveys over the last few days. I'm still within reach of my goal so I'll keep working on them and hopefully one of those AMP's will come through. I have also been unable to get ANY SSI(2) to pay out, so I pretty much gave up on those.

Today was a great day for surveys! I was able to get the DS, SH, MV and SSI...so far. I will try the Y2C and AMP later. I'm not to hopeful about the AMP bu the Y2C holds promise.

As of now, I'm at....

I'm so disappointed that my Y2C from yesterday didn't credit. That would have given me all seven surveys.

Today has been great so far! I've got a DS, MV and SH all done already and it took me less than one hour to get them all:clap:

I got four quickies this morning and just got the AMP(long). I was shocked to see that it credited within 15 minutes! I finished it at 10:02 and it credited by 10:13!

I'm at 52/75 so far. Now, I'm off to try for those SSI's!!

UPDATE: Completed the SSI at 10:30...once it credits, I will *try* for the SSI(2). I got my first one in over 3 weeks yesterday so I will be amazed if I can make it two in a row. If I get lucky, I'll get my touchdown! (I got one yesterday, but since the Y2C didn't credit, I guess there must have been a flag on the play....)

UPDATE#2: It's 11:45pm and I just finished the SSI(2)! So, I've completed all 7 surveys today, but I reallllllly hope the SSI(2) credits. It rarely does so I am not doing my victory dance yet. Maybe it will be a nice surprise to start my morning.

so i'm at 64/90.....need 26 more with 13 days.....only 2 a day BUT we've got to figure that it's gonna get harder next weekend with Thanksgiving so i'm still going to try 4-5/day until then.

Are you leaving your browser open until it credits? If you closed the browser before it credits I find that it messes with crediting. The only time I've not have an SSI credit is when I closed my browser and shut my computer down before it credited.

I had some stuff come up unexpectedly last night, so I only managed two, which makes me 37/50. I've got some work to do, then hopefully I'll have an awesome survey day today!

58/115 as of last night. 13 days left starting now. Still doable if I get 4 to 5 a day. With My View working now, it makes it a lot more of a possibility. I will try hard to reach my November goal. However, I will never set a goal that high again. 90 is a good goal, even if it is exceeded without trying.

Agree-with SSI-leave the browser open until it credits-or at least times out. Didn't do that yesterday-in a hurry and forgot; and it didn't credit(so I went back in and did another and THAT did credit.

Today-gone most of the day-but still managed four-so 64/65.

So far today, I've completed 6 surveys. I finished the AMP(short) and the SSI's (1 and 2) within the last hour. I did the SSI, waited until it credited, then cleared my cookies and did the AMP. I think that is when I goofed because I cleared my cookies again (I think that might have "erased" my AMP) and then did my SSI(2). I am not going to shut down my browser or my computer so I'll see what happens.

I can hardly keep my eyes open...but I am going to try for that Y2C since it is the only one I don't have today. Even if I only get 6, I will be ecstatic with 3 six-packs in a row!

Thanks for the heads up about not closing my browser while awaiting the SSI(2). Unfortunately, my IE froze up on me and I had to restart it:computer:. I am just destined to be stuck at 6:D. It's better than the days when I can only get one so I will not complain:sunshine:.

I have to work the next two days so I am glad that I could knock out 18 surveys over the last three days. This way, I won't have to cut myself short on sleep to obsess over my surveys. I also have to think about doing a little cashout here soon. I think I'm going to get a TGI Friday's gift card since I have some funds that are "no paypal cashouts". I will use it to cover one of our meals on our vacation. I know that I have to pull the trigger before December 1:love:.

Pretty frustrating day here survey-wise. GF-had to be almost done(it was a long one) and the screen froze and I couldn't go anywhere-no credit; M02-another long one(a keynote website eval) that didn't credit-even though I completed all the way to the congrats page.

So-got four done and credited(at least I think the 2nd GF should credit on Monday) so: M02(2nd one); MV, SSI.

So....68/65-yay I reached my personal goal-will keep trucking along-will check and see what October actually was-it was officially 70-something by the end of the month.

89/115. Got 5 today. Took SSI yesterday and it did not credit. Took SSI & SSI II today and it did not credit. DS from 11/19, 20 & 21 thankfully credited. Having lots of trouble with SSI. Server has been soooo slow. My mom has noticed the same thing. Getting the Successfully Submitted page. I know not to delete cookies. Something strange is going on with SSI for me the past couple of days.

Will be focused on school festivities and getting ready for turkey day. Will update after the holiday.

UPDATE: 91/115. TOUCHDOWN. Took SSI and SSI 2 again. They credited!!! Server was not so sluggish this time.

I agree about SSI! Really, really slow. It timed out on me once right at the end and I didn't get the credit.

I ended up getting my DS for 11/19 and 11/21 but not 11/20. Very strange.

Well, as expected, I had a bad weekend in the survey department. I didn't even have a chance to try on Saturday or Sunday. I was able to squeak out the DS on Friday, but 1 survey over three days....:headache:. Thankfully, I have had really good days this month so I am able to absorb those bad days.

I already have the DS, MV, and SSI today. I waited for the SSI to credit, cleared my cookies (even switched computers) and took the SSI(2). My browser is still open and I am eagerly waiting to see if it credits. Later tonight I will try for my Y2C and AMP.

With the DS today and the ones that have already credited, I am at 63/75!

WOW! I just noticed that this was my 500th post:sunshine:!

ETA: THANK YOU to everyone who posted the secret to unlocking the SSI(2)!! It credited!!

64/75 with eight days to go!

The surveys are loving me today:love:!

I am happy if I can get 2 surveys in on my work days, but today, I have managed to complete all of them except the AMP:cooldance:! I can't try that one until after 4 and I will be at work at that time so I am probably not even going to try for it. I am just waiting for that SSI(2) to credit and I will have the six-pack:sunshine:.

I'm at 72/75 this month, not counting the SSI(2).

Just finished three for the night - DS, SSI, and SH. That puts me at 61/60, which means I just passed my new goal. I don't think I'll set another one, so anything after this is just even more icing on the cake :)

i haven't tried any yet today, but i'm glad i met both my goals already, my 90 survey goal and my $150 cashout goal. I am sure the surveys are going to be few and far between now until December......people are just going to be really busy and i wouldn't think they'll load a lot for this weekend.

Didn't post on Thanksgiving-but I was able to do 2-so 95/65.

Then, today-Black Friday-was able to get four(actually 5 but GF didn't come back to the SR member page, so I'm not counting that one) for a total of 100(!)/65.

Anyone else have issues with GF today? In addition to the one above, I tried to do another-and kept getting "server busy" message-then, later, neither GF nor M02 had anything for me.
