It says you get the credit if your photo is accepted. Does everyone's get accepted or is it a YMMV thing? Thanks!

I did this offer and it credited pretty fast. They accept everyones photo I think . Its similar to the poetry.com offer. They will take your stuff then send you an email offering to show your picture at a photo trade show.

I did it on Monday night & I have not received credit for it. I guess they did not like my photo? :0(

I don't know about the credit, but I know that a year or so ago they accepted a fairly bad picture of mine...then it "won" all sorts of things and I got emails for a year asking me to buy the book with my winning picture in it. :)

It looks like they must hold these and process them in batches because I just saw 10 credits automatically come through without me having to post them. Gotta love that.

Does that mean it credits directly to our account? I guess mine must be coming through in a few more days. :(

I haven't figured out any rhyme or reason yet as to why these come in faster for some people than others. Maybe it has something to do with the approval process on their end? Or whether you happen to sign up close to the end of their "batch" period? I've never gotten credit for either the picture.com or the poetry.com. But I sure see other people getting them.

I'm not expecting to get the credit then if you never received it either, guess it's hit or miss? Well, they got a beautiful picture of my last vacation out of it anyway!

Yep. In fact, I think that poetry.com and picture.com are actually places that you can submit to maybe once a month (don't quote me on that) and get credits again because they continue to run their "contests." I would give it about two weeks and then try again.

I got a letter in the mail today from them with a copy of my picture and an invitation to purchase the book that it will be published in for a mere $70.00 plus $25.00 more for a blurb about "the artist".

Thanks anyway, I'll just stick with the $1.50 :rotfl:

I entered this contest about a year ago I think - not sure where I found the contest. They accepted my picture and I got the same letter. I really thought I had submitted a great picture, so I kept waiting to hear that I'd won something. I'm still awaiting any royalties that I might get from someone who orders my picture as a postcard, calendar, etc. :rotfl: Guess I'd better not quit my day job.

I opened the mail while my kids were in the room and they thought this was funny. I wonder how many orders they end up with out of all of their efforts?

I had to laugh. I got the letter in the mail today saying how creative and wonderful my photo was and how it displayed yada yada yada. I just wanted to share with you my "award-winning photo" because I thought you'd get a laugh!

It's titled "Chicken With a Crazy Hairdo." It's EPIC! Was taken with my camera phone at the fair, actually! Hope it made you smile! :rotfl:

I didn't enter this b/c I entered about 2 years ago (a goofy picture of DS, and LATER I realized a shirtless DH was walking in the background, and he's NOT happy with his physique), and they literally sent me emails and letters for a year or so...inviting me to Vegas for my photo to see the other photos and winners, blah blah blah...

I like easy money, but it took a LONG time to convince them to get me off of their lists!

I would like to add, I was concerned about this picture being "out there" because of DH in the background...it would have been embarrassing to him, assuming they really had some big convention for winners, to have it hanging somewhere...note to self, check the background of your pix! :)

I just signed up and sent in a picture and I had credit within 5 minutes. What a shocker! Did anyone look at the picture or is it automatic? I didn't do this before because I had sent a picture to them several years ago so thanks to this thread I got $1.50!

OMG I couldn't take it anymore. So DH submitted a picture. This time it's just a flower picture, so no chance of half-nekkie peeps in it. Well, maybe nekkid bugs. :)

It credited instantly, before I could move it to Pending. I'm quite sure I'll see emails forEVER about this....
