Why does it take almost 30 days to receive the $12 credit. I joined last month and I didn't want to bid on something in case I won it. I finally made a bid this past Sat. Dec. 8. I bid on a Wii Guitar hero for my dd that was going for $21. I didn't win, it went for $125. The stupid thing cost $89 in the store. Why would people pay more for something than the store is beyond me.
Today, I saw the pending credit until Jan. 15, 2008. Why does it take so long with Ebay?

I believe that particular credit takes so long b/c it is a free offer, they are giving you $12 free just for registering and bidding. Free offers are held now usually until the 15th of the next month. That is b/c of the fraud issues that were occuring and advertisers pulling offers/revoking credits, that way Tricia pays out when she receives the credit so there is no worry about it later being revoked after she has already paid it. Does that make sense?
Someone else might be able to explain it better. :)
Also people are willing to pay more for the Guitar Hero III for Wii b/c it is nearly impossible to find in stores or online. The Wii version is very popular and hard to come by. :sunshine:
Hope that helps!
**Forgot to add, when you are shopping with ebay and make a purchase then it credits within the normal shopping time (3 days for SM and 21 days for regular members), it shows up quickly too (in my experience).

Thanks Carrie,
I guess where we live, we have seen it in the stores, I guess my dd should have grabbed it that day. She lives in a quiet area where there is a Target and a Best Buy. She has more luck with those 2 stores.

No problem! :) It's funny how things vary from region to region. Here we have had a shortage on the ones for PSIII, but other places it is the one for Wii! You just never know! :rotfl:

Yeah Carrie had it right with the fact that it is a paid trial vs. a shopping credit. All paid trials get held till the 15th of the following month per the advertiser's and SR's agreement to offer these things and to ensure that we are not fraudulent signups.
As far as guitar hero goes -> My Toys R Us had a ton of them yesterday as well as Rock Band if anyone is looking. I'm not sure if TRU will ship from a store but if they do it was the one on Westheimer in Houston. Good Luck.
