iTunes help

Can anyone help me? When I click on the link for iTunes, it doesn't pull up my iTunes, it just sends me to apple.com and the page says I need to download it. I know it's something with my computer, but I've no idea what

I wonder if you need the latest version of iTunes? I haven't used iTunes in a while so I don't know if that is something new or not. Maybe someone else can pop in and reply as well.

I thought it might be that, too, so I updated to the latest version but that didn't help. Thank for replying, though :)
