I just saw this on Facebook.

I've never used Groupon before, but signed up once for the daily deal emails. So if I understand this right, I would get 3 one night DVD rentals for a buck? Is it sent as 3 separate codes?

I wouldn't have to use them all at once, would I?

I'm seriously considering it as Redbox is about my budget for entertainment right now.

I just did it and it looks like you get the codes to use whenever you want. You do have to swipe your credit card when you make the rentals because if you keep them over 24 hours, you have to pay another $1. But I've used the codes before and returned the movies within 24 hours and never had anything charged to my card.

I didn't get a confirmation email yet and I think I did this about a half hour ago. Should I be worried? I also see in my account next to the order it says "Your order is currently being processed." There's nothing to click to print the groupon yet. Is this normal for them?

I was just coming to find this out, too! I am glad Tricia said it took a couple hours for her. My other Groupons came through pretty quickly, but this is a big one!

Thanks, Tricia! I got an email from Redbox about this and was hoping to be able to purchase thru SR. I've been checking the Groupon SR link since Friday - LOL. So happy to see the link there now. I purchased one for me and gifted one to DH. :sunshine:

Love Redbox and this is a great deal! We use codes there a lot and you just swipe your CC and put in the code. We always turn them in before 9pm the next day and have never had any problems with charges, etc. This will be great to have over the holiday break too!!

i've never used Groupon because every time i try to put in my zip code, it says Groupon isn't available for our area yet. :confused: But we do have Redbox....is this something I can get?

yes! Because this is a national deal, it doesn't matter what zip code you put in. If you click on the link that we have for this deal, it will take you right to it. If you need a zip code, you can put in mine. LOL (46060)

Bought these to use during Christmas break. I like Redbox and Groupons. Can't always use what they are offering, but when I do, they are great deals.

Can you purchase more than one with this deal...it is confusing the way it reads. It looks like you can only purchase 1 and use it yourself, or as a gift...or am I reading it wrong?

I'm glad they extended it - I was going to get it yesterday and then I totally forgot. I wish I would have had this for today - school was cancelled and it is too cold to go outside. The kids would have loved to sit and watch movies buy the fire - not to mention Mom ;)

My credit was pending the next day, but I also put it up on my facebook. I can't figure out where my order number is, so I'm not sure if the credit is from mine or someone else's.
