:(First, I'm a very bad mommy. :( I thought I purchased my girls number one toy that they asked for weeks ago. I remember the purchase and everything but I don't have the toys nor is it listed as an order with Toys R Us. I don't know if I just put them in my basket and went to another store to price check as I did a lot of that. Now I'm going crazy trying to find it and I did on Amazon.com but it's much more expensive. :eek: I thought they were suppose to be cheaper. I also found it on ebay but I've never purchase from them and they had some very questionable prices. Very confusing.

Anyway, Is Amazon not reasonably priced? I'm looking for the African American Video Barbie Girl. :(

And, I finally opened some of my boxes to start wrapping and found out that one of the talking toy story 3 dolls were missing so I called Mattel and they apologized but they were all sold out so they would have to issue me a credit. :(

Okay, so that's what the different pricing meant. I've never shopped on Amazon either. Yes, it's a hot item.


Have you tried Walmart? It might be in store only- not sure.

Only online. I'm gonna send out my boys tomorrow to hunt it down. Hopefully, someone will find it.:(

I just went on Walmart.com and you can put in your zipcode and it will tell you what stores in your area have it in stock.

There are THREE stores in my area that have it in stock. No prices are listed and the website says store prices may vary.

If you want me to go looking for one.......PM me. I'll most likely be heading out tomorrow night to finish my shopping. I have to go to Walmart.....I can call you with the price and see if you want to get it. I would have to ship it to you so that would add to the cost.

With Amazon you have to be careful too...sometimes the re-sellers have a great price but the shipping is outrageous!

I would recommend trying WalMart too.

lisa, we have no toys r us store nearby, but i will be going to wal-mart either tomorrow or sunday, and my DH drives right by there each day on his way to work (i'm pretty sure he'll be working straight through to Christmas Eve). these dolls are listed as being in stock at our store on walmart.com, and other stores close to us, so if you need them, please let me know, we'll get them for you and take them straight to the UPS store.

Edited to add..........absolutely NO sign of any Toy Story 3 talking dolls. Reminds me of Cabbage Patch kids when my kids were small. Crazy!!

I say share it with them when they're old enough. A few years back, right after the Wii came out, my mom had recruited I think 3 of us to help look for one for a family gift, including myself and one of my brothers. If she had decided to get one just a few weeks sooner, she could have preordered it and guaranteed it would be under the tree. Unforntuately, she and my dad didn't decide to get it until after it had already come out. Instead, there was one weekend when Best Buy had it advertised and my dad and I had planned to go to different stores (him to one, me to another) to stand in line and try to snag one. I was woke up that morning by my mom telling me they were handing out numbers at 7 am. I think it was 6:30 at that point. Oops. My dad was close to getting one that day, but neither of us were there early enough. We told my younger brothers not involved in the search about it after we'd opened our gifts and said we would get one as soon as we could find it. Youngest brother at the time was about 14 or so. He and I were up freezing our butts off in January at Target a few weeks later and were able to get one. This whole thread reminds me of that year!

Woohoo. I'm two for two now. That completes my shopping for the girls. Thank you so much. I got it. Even though I threatened to send them all back if they couldn't honor the price I originally paid for it since it was their fault that particular one wasn't shipped. The first guy told me no even after I asked for an on duty supervisor, so I told him I'll just send everything I purchased to them back. He still didn't care! I hung up, fuming around the house to DH, then decided to call back to see if I could get a different CSR. She was wonderful and told me to go ahead and purchase it, call her back and then she'll issue me a credit. Did that, called back and they wouldn't put her through. :eek: That CSR insisted on helping me so I told him everything and he fixed the problem. He said I should see the credit in a couple of days for the price difference. He was also nice so I don't understand why the first one was such a meanie. Just a Scrooge. LOL.

That's okay he can't rain on my parade as I have some awesome friends that definitely made my Christmas. :heart:

Lisa I am so glad that you were able to get what you wanted. I was in our local Walmart and they must of had 100 of the Jessie dolls. Everyone was walking right past them. I just checked to make sure that you got them - if not I was going to tell DH to stop and pick up two for you on his way home.
