View Full Version : offer question: ADHD?

Clicking on All Offers, I see: ADHD (ID:2163) It says to participate and get 4 credits.
But there's nothing to participate with. And it doesn't seem "worth" 4 credits.
Is it an error, or am I missing something? I'd love the 4 credits just for clicking, but it just doesn't seem correct. :)

I was wondering the same thing. After clicking around the site, I'm thinking you have to register yourself (and your child) in order to get credit. Not sure if that's right, but that's all I can think of.

There is a button to register for a free DVD or something like that. I did it and confirmed my email and got the credit after the hour. Actually it is on credit hold until Jan 15th. Seemed easy enough.

Where is that? By doing that did you register with the site, with a username and such?
Augh, credit hold? At this point I need 4.13 more to make supermember, and I was hoping this would spring me there! :)

Oh yikes, to register to see the interactive video. My kid's too young, there's no diagnosis or behaviour...I had no problem registering to find out info about the problem, but not just about some drug!
Maybe registering for the initial site we clicked on is enough for the credit. :)

I registered and got the credit on the hour. It was super easy. I was not too pleased about the credit hold though. Will it really be 1-15 before the credit is posted? UGH!!

I registered to get the ADHD information also. It is a credit hold until 1/15 as are most freebie offers that are over 2.00. This is exactly the type of offer that the advertisers will watch and pull credits if they think they are getting bad info. That is why they are doing the credit hold. Really very easy and hopefully I can get some interesting and helpful information. I was very honest with my answers and let them know my child had not been diagnosed as yet and has never taken any medications for this. I still recieved credit on the hour. :sunshine2:

We aren't completely sure about this offer so we have had to put a hold on it. Hopefully it will credit with no problem. We have to sometimes be a little causious.

If people give them false information, they can come back in the middle of January and take ALL of the money back. By that point, everyone would have already cashed out if we didn't put a hold on it. It's just too big a risk for us with this one where there is a lot of incentive to give bogus contact information for a pretty darn good payout.

Didn't mean to sound snarly. I'm leaving for Disney on 1-26 and trying to rack up as much spending money as I can. It was an easy offer for 4.00.

The good news is that there are two similar offers that pay out a little bit less but look good as well that I am waiting on approval for. If I can get those up late tonight or first thing in the morning, they will be worth 1.50 each and will NOT be on credit holds. :)

Can you tell us what you are supposed to sign up for, please? "Participate" sounds like registering for the site with username and password. But the medicine signup is different from that, and that is the restrictive one (that I won't be signing up for).

I clicked on the banner on the right side of the page to sign up to receive a free DVD about ADHD and Concerta. It also enables you to enter the Concerta site and get more information....so yes, you do enter a sign-in name and password. It was easy and painless! I received the pending credit in about 1/2 an hour (it wasn't on the hour either.)
Thanks for the great offer Tricia!

I think the site is confusing. :)
The site you end up on, the health site, can be registered for (which is what I did). But the medicine's site can be registered for, too? Zoiks!
Oh well. Signing up for the health info site didn't get me any pending credits, and I'm not signing up for the adhd site (nor could I while telling the truth), so oh well!

I think it isn't possible for you to get credit for this one if you do not have a child who is at lest 6 years old. The medication that they are giving credits for requesting information about is only for kids at least 6 years old. I would say if you don't fall in that category then skip this one. My DD is 6 and we have at least 8 people in my family who are ADD or ADHD and are on medication for it. Although their medication is Aderol I believe I would be very interested in information about ADD and ADHD and what signs to look for in Callie as she gets older. I didn't have to give them her name since she hasn't ever taken medication for this but I did have to give her birthday.

Exactly. That's what I'm saying. The age thing is what I noticed first, and then the levels of diagnosis. BUT since there are other areas on the website where one can sign up, the wording on the offer is confusing and might need clarification. That's all I'm sayin'.
And because this is "up" for me, Janet, have the members of your family made sure they aren't having a reaction to high fructose corn syrup, or other corn syrups (or, knock wood not, all corn)?
My guy could be diagnosed in a heartbeat, if doctors saw him only when he has had HFCS or corn syrup. The behavioural changes in him with that stuff is astonishing (if you read my post from last July about him attacking me at a festival, that is what turned out to be the culprit). And I was just reading a newish Dr Sears book, and he mentioned it too, that he saw fewer ADHD cases in his practice once he started having his patients' parents cut it out of their kids' diets. And it's in everything (uncrustables, dole whips, frosting on Disneyland Woody's RoundUp cookies, m&ms to decorate said cookies with, just to name a few near and dear to Disney fans).

I don't think they have looked into that and I will mention it to them and have them research it. None of my kids have been diagnosed but Callie is the oldest so I am being very cautious. My DN was diagnosed in 2nd grade and her father (40 years old) was diagnosed the year after. He had been living with it his whole life. I know my sister stays away from things with HFCS and almost never serves prepared foods or packaged foods but only fresh meats and vegetables. As a matter of fact she buys her meats in bulk from a cattle ranch and has it butchered and packaged. However, I could easily see the rest of the people who have been diagnosed eating HIGH levels of HFCS. I think that the only things that you mentioned that we use a lot of are uncrustables. I am usually very good about checking lables but I truly had no idea they had it. I will be reading all of my packages tomorrow. Thanks!

I was sorry to find out about the Uncrustables. If I recall correctly, it was in the bread and the jelly. I read it at Pacific Wharf restaurant at DCA *while* he was eating it. DS refused to believe me and told me he would try to control himself if he started to "turn into a dragon", and to some extent he did, but I could see the freakout starting. It's a hard sensitivity to have.
OK I'll stop hijacking this, er, my own, thread. :rotfl: Forgot I started it for a moment!
I look forward to having DH finish this daily survey we've actually qualified for, so I can take a look to see if the other offers are up yet! :p

Where are you clicking to register? All I see is a newsletter about ADHD. Are you registering from the links at the bottom for the entire site?

When I click on the banner to the right it takes me to another newsletter about dementia. Nothing to sign up for there. Any suggestions??

I don't see it either Anna. I keep getting banners for rheumatoid arthritis and dementia. Nothing about ADHD or a dvd.

Thanks Kycha! I thought I was losing it. Still have not seen anything on Concerta or any other ADHD medication. Let me know if you find something.:) Kind of hard to sign up for credit when there is nothing there. How frustrating.

That's what I'm seeing too. I doubt I'd ever actually use the information, but it would be interesting to look at since I'm sure if my oldest ds was in a school system he'd be diagnosed although there isn't anything other than a desire to never be quiet wrong with him.

Yes it was and I got a confirmation email, but then again - I have not recieved credit for anything I have completed since 12/21 (offer wise - I am crediting for surveys and free clicks). I have run all the programs to remove adware and spyware but I may have something....

I just did this too, but i signed my brother up. I just found out over Christmas that both my brothers have blood sugar issues. If they cannot correct them with diet, they will need to start medication.

Don't get discouraged and give up! Your so close. Keep trying, I bet you'll be able to get a SM survey later if you keep trying. Also remember that all regular survey's that credit next week will still count towards this month.
Correction I forgot that Monday may be a holiday for greenfield so the daily's probably won't count. Just keep plugging your so close!!!!! :)

You can do it!!! (4 SM surveys @ .60) + (4 your thought counts surveys @ .70) + the MID offer @ .35 = $5.55!!! If the Lantus offer credits then you're up to $7.05 :)
