MyThoughtCounts - Do they credit on the hour?

I am only just starting to do more of the MyThoughtCounts surveys b/c like so many of you, OTX surveys have not always been kind to me. I did one today around 4.45 thinking it may credit at 5pm, on the hour. But I am not very familiar with these so not sure if they credit on the hour or not. Anyone know?

Usually on the hour but you were pretty close to the top of the hour, so it may come through on the next hour. I have also noticed that it is usually at 5:05 not right at 5:00 if that makes sense. :) Hopefully it will come through!

That happened to me yesterday. Got all the way through one and instead of getting the thanks page got sent somewhere else. Tried to take another one when I didn't get credit and it told me I couldn't take another one.:computer:

I was just coming to see if anyone else had hte same problem, I took one today on movies that should have credited at 3pm and here it is almost 7pm and no credit. this is a first time that it's ever happened to me and not credited.

Something is defintely going on!!!!!!!

Mine was on movies also. I know we aren't allowed to talk about them by name but I bet it was the same survey. One was funny, one was thriller, one was creepy thriller. (Mods edit at will if that is TMI)

Well, it looks like I am in good company. I got stiffed on OTX today as well. Took a survey(virtual magazine) and finished up right at 11am. Checked to see if I got credit at noon...nada. So, I gave it some more time and still didn't receive credit. Just thought it was a fluke, so decided to give it another try and finished up a second survey(same subject as the earlier survey) around 5:50pm. And I haven't gotten credit yet. I thought maybe it was that particular survey about a virtual magazine, but it sounds like we all got stiffed doing different surveys. Well, I hope we all get credit eventually. And I sure hope they get things fixed. I don't think they ever fixed the birthday year thing yet though. So, I'm not holding my breath.

Just logging in before bed to see if my .70 came through and nope! Maybe it is something like the daily surveys that don't credit on the weekends???? I don't know. Like I said in my first post, I don't usually do OTX surveys b/c of the age problem they have. Maybe I am just wishful thinking though and may never get credit. :( Mine was on hotels. Got through to the thank you for participating page, etc. etc.

I think there is definitely something going on! I've taken one of these surveys every day of this month so far and this is the only day I haven't received credit on the next hour! And unlike the other surveys, they do credit on the weekends. So, not sure what's going on, but hope it gets fixed soon!

OMG come to think of it I had the virtual magazine one too, and after it was over I can't remember what screen I got, but it wasn't a thank you (so maybe that was right around the time the issue started happening??) and ended up wtih the one I mentioned above.

Unless thier policy changed this isn't one that doesn't credit on the weekend, they always credit on the hour.

I did a MyThoughtCounts survey today and did get credit, but it was very early this morning. I have had some credit on the 2nd hour if I finish close to the hour. I have also had some that have not credited at all. Sorry so many of you didn't get the credit today. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

I did not get credit for mine today, either. It wouldn't let me take it earlier today - I had to wait until after 9 pm. Now it's after 11 so I doubt it's going to credit, and it won't let me take another.

I always get that 'We're sorry' message unless it's been (or close to) 24 hours since I took the last one. Doesn't matter what email I use or whether or not someone else tries, it 'knows' this computer and won't let me try again.

It's worth alot - I completely agree!! I guess OTX doesn't.

Another thing I discovered about their surveys. One day when I was trying to qualify, I didn't have any more time right then so instead of clicking on the 'try again to get another survey' link, I clicked on the other option (off the top of my head, can't remember what that one says). Then it wouldn't let me try later - got the same 'come back soon' message.

No problem. I just finished one on movies...quick and easy. Keeping my fingers crossed that it will credit. I'll let you know.

ETA: Yippeee! I just checked and it did credit. I wonder what happened yesterday to cause so many of us not to receive credit.

I can't even qualify for an OTX survey. :( I can go for pages and pages answering questions and it either gets to a point where it tells me that I'm lying about my age (NOT!) or I get the "Sorry but you don't qualify, would you like to take another survey" screen. I've pretty much given up trying them anymore.

There is a whole thread in the offers section about crediting issues this weekend. Something must have happened yesterday because very few people had credits come through. I'm taking a break this weekend and will try again tomorrow.

I know what you are saying, I have that those same things happen to me. I just keep at it, until I get one I can complete. I also have had them tell me I answered ?ds wrong about myself. The 2nd time it did credit, I finished it at 2:30 and I got credit at 3:05P, Thanks for your comment.

Hey Jtowner! My Dad is from Johnstown. We spent a lot of time visiting Johnstown when I was a kid(I live in Lancaster), when we would visit my Granddad. Plus, they had a cabin in Bedford. I haven't been out that way in a few years. Last time was to visit the United 93 memorial. So, welcome to SR!

I will not do any more OTX surveys. I just spent 30 minutes on a car ad survey, got to the classification questions, answered the question about my age, and was then told I did not answer some questions truthfully. I do not appreciate being called a liar and will no longer participate in their surveys.

Back with an update.... I did the OTX survey around 10 p.m. central last night. I came here today and posted this around 3:00, then shut my PC off and went to the grocery store. I am back now to try and do my SM survey and just noticed this posted. What the ??? Maybe complaining here in the Forum makes these credit? LOL! So I am :) again!

okay, so I am TOTALLY confused!! I just looked at my account history. I got an OTX credit for the one posted on 1/12 and 1/13. The one that I took yesterday was still listed as 1/11 because I did it early in the morning. So basically I have credit for 3 of these surveys in 25 hours and I only took 2. I know most of you would like to just kick me about now, but...I am not sure what I should do with it. Do I just let it go??

PLEASE keep in mind that OTX is not saying that anyone is lying about their age intentionally. There is a glitch in their system right now such that if you have not yet had a birthday in 2008, it thinks that you are off by a year. It is not a judgment thing. It is strictly an error in their database that we have been seeing consistently since January 1 and I have not been able to find anyone to fix.
