Cindy's on the IR

I'm officially placing Cindy on the injured reserved list. She was out in the pasture this morning and was struck in the eye with a hot wire. Last I talked to her this morning, she was on the couch with an ice pack and planning on getting into her doctor first thing tomorrow morning. So if you see her on here, don't talk to her. She isn't supposed to be working today or tomorrow.

I just talked to her and it's actually a little worse than I thought. She broke down and went to the ER today. They numbed her and gave her a prescription for some drops because apparently the wire hit her eye twice. Thankfully, it wasn't the cornea. She's going to take something to knock her out for the night when the numbing drops wear off. Tomorrow will probably be pretty crappy because they won't numb it again after this afternoon. :(

I'm truly glad she sought out medical attention in a timely manner. The eyes are just not something to be fooled with. Cindy, best wishes and happy healing.

Ok, I'm on for just a sec cause I really can't read anything. The numbness has work off, thanks to spending a half hour at the pharmacy, idiots, anyway, thats another store I'll tell about later. I've had toput the antibioc cream in, and my sight is extremely blurry and I feel like the boulder is back i my eye. The wire scratched it twice in a loop effect, so its a pretty big area. I am going to relax tonight, take a sleeping pill and hit the bed early and I'll be back tomorrow to antagonize, I mean, talk you all then.Thank you for the well wishes. As some of you know, I am blind in one eye, and unfortunately, that is not the eye that got hit with the hot wire. Figures huh.

On Cindy, feel better soon. Hopefully when you wake up in the morning the antibiotic and a good night's rest will have helped some and you won't be in so much pain. Having had an eye injury years ago, I know the pain you feel. It's pretty awful. Heal well!:hugs:

OH wow that is so awful cindy we all hope you get better. At least what I have learned from working in the eye field, the eyes do heal a little faster. ( but not fast enough for you)

hubby had injured his eye and we went to the er, the doc said the eye was one of the fastest healing parts of the body. hopefully for you that is true. it was for hubby.

Thank you Thank you. My time on here will be limited. My eye hurts so bad I could pull it out of my socket, but at least I know it will heal. I slept very well last night at least. I have to strain to see anything which makes it worse, so I am going to get a few things done at a time on here, then rest for a bit and do it in small intervals. Tricia isn't feeling really well this morning either, so I'll be popping in and out to make sure things are running ok. The thing is, the cream which makes it feel a little better is like a catch 22. Ya, I put it in, feels a bit better, but because it completely coats the eye, I can't see a darn thing. LOL

Feeling better today. Not 100%. My eye is open about half way and I can concentrate a little longer before it starts to burn. Still feels like theres junk in it, but not nearly as uncoimfortable as the past two days. I think by tomorrow it should be all healed. I'll be on a lot more today.

Actaully, it was my good eye that got injured. My other has no site, so can't harm that one much more. LOL Its all better now though. It does burn a little when i stare at something, but all in all its doing good.

Glad to hear you and your eye are on the mend.........my dad is also blind in one eye and a few years ago had to have surgery on his 'good' eye.....needless to say he was very frustrated for a bit, but once he 'took the time to rest it...hint hint' he was back to new in no time (although if you ask him it was the longest 2 weeks of his life)
