What security software do you run on your computer? I have CA right now and do not like it at all. I was thinking about going to either MacAfee or Norton. Nothing will credit for me using CA.

I absolutely hate Norton and don't recommend it. My company runs McAffee on my laptop and I have no issues getting credits and I run AVG Free on the desktop at home.

What is CA?

I'm running AVG - the free edition.

I think it stands for Computer Associates. It came free (for a year) with my son's laptop.

I also run ZoneAlarm on the desktop at home with AVG Free. i think McAffee has a built in firewall but work has it all locked down so I can't check my settings/program for you. Maybe someone else can pipe in about McAffee.

My Norton subscription was about to expire and my brother is a computer software developer. He had reccommended Eset NOD32 Antivirus V3.0 to my mother. I picked up a copy as well and it's working great. It takes up a lot less space than Norton and my brother's boss highly reccommended this. The only place I've seen this one is Microcenter.

OK What i use, is Windws Firewall (Tweaked) and Avast(free) on my desktop AVG(Free) on my laptop, and i als run PeerGuardian2 its like a firewall with lots blacklisted ips. I agree with MNC that is not a fan of nortan, used it but it slowed my system down too much and did not catch everything! I get a new Antivirus program about every 6 months or so, right now i have been switching back and forth with Avast and AVG, becuase no anti-virus or any security program is 100% and i have found that swticht them up helps keep me more protected, (even if its just all in my head)... Hope this has helped some... BTW i am a techno-geek, so something i do/say may not be easy to follow or reproduce for novice techno-geeks...
