I know about that one! I took it about a week ago, and have been getting the same questions every day; and about TV shows watched, a certain magazine read, etc - I keep getting these same questions over and over and then it will say, no surveys sorry! Until yesterday, I got something else - probably today I will get those questions again.

I keep getting the shampoo/toothpaste/deodorant one each time I go on. I haven't gotten it yet, but the survey doesn't like my answers. However, each time I go to OTX I get this same one, and each time I give them the same answers. Then it takes me to a TV one. I'm afraid to go any further because I've done one on sports a week or two ago. The funny thing is, it could be for something entirely different. But once stung, always cautious.

It seems to me that each survey company has a stock way of starting their surveys. Even though it looks familiar, it could lead you to something else. I am well aware of this, but at this point, I am also fearful of even trying. Therefore, I have not gotten credit for OTX in two days. I just wish the surveys were numbered so we could keep track and check them off. Perhaps they are and I'm just not noticing? However, at the beginning, I check off all the surveys I've done in the last 3 months. So what does it give me? All the surveys I've checked off. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeesh!

not today i haven't but in the past i had a lot of crediting problems. did you clean out all your cookies before you started your survey and do you remember which thank you page you got - the thank you for doing the survey as we appreciate your participation or the thank you you don't qualify for any surveys today. also, have you tried to take another survey since you haven't been credited for the first one. try that and see what happens. i can truly empathize with what you are going thru as you are not alone - keep trying and keep smiling - it will all work out in the end.:sunshine:

Definetly do as they are tracked by cookies. Older cookies will override newer cookies and thus you won't receive credit. Glad you got credit today :sunshine:

I did a couple different surveys in the last 2 days - and wouldn't you know, those are the questions I get again today along with the ol' toothpaste questions! So I will clear cookies and try later - but I think odds are I will get those same questions and be told there are no surveys for me!

2. I've done 2 of these surveys and haven't gotten credit for either. I cleared cookies before taking them and used Firefox because IE shuts down on me for no reason. Any thoughts as to why I didn't get credit?

Looks like they still haven't fixed the age issue from 1/1/08. If you haven't had a bday yet in 08 you need to put what you WILL be in 08

In the qualifying pages, there is a page that lists maybe a dozen new movies but no description of which ones to check. I don't know if they want to know if I've heard of them, seen them, saw advertising for them or some other question...anyone else getting this screen? I don't want to keep getting it and answer "fraudulently."

I did try to refresh several times, but had no luck. I finally just picked a couple of movies I was familiar with, and got kicked out.

Anyway, today I finally got an OTX survey on pet food. It's the first one I qualified for in at least 4 or 5 days. I keep backing out of ANY survey that has any sort of familiarity to me, so I might be losing opportunities in that way. In other words, a survey might start in a manner that I'm familiar with but veer off to something completely different. I haven't been brave enough to chance it.

I have answered pre-survey questions that I know will lead to a certain survey, and I have gotten in the habit of just saying no or none of the above to them, since I know I have done the survey they lead to. But OTX always kicks me out of them anyway - I don't worry about getting into a survey I have already done because they do such a good job kicking me out before I even get there! So I don't really think they're going to even give anyone the chance to re-do a survey exactly like they have already done, FWIW.
I'm having a hard time getting a survey some days because all the pre-survey questions have to do with surveys I've already done - so I am always happy to see a new question/questions! Then I get one I actually haven't done yet. And the next day, tho, I get the questions that lead to THAT survey and get kicked out - so...it's the way it is, I guess.

OK, so OTX did just give me a survey that was very similar to one I did do last week about what movies I might plan to watch - only it actually was different. That is, the movies it asked about were different, so I went ahead and completed the survey, and got the good thank you page. I'll see if I get the credit.
I really think OTX would not have given me the survey if it were just like the one I did last week. Like I said they have been busy telling me I didn't qualify for all sorts of surveys I had already done but still got qualifying ?s for! So it seems to me they have a good system for identifying what surveys you and haven't taken, and won't let you take ones you have already taken again.

Now I still get the questions about it every single time I have tried to get a survey - I just say no, get booted out, and try for one I haven't done!! I have a different problem. I usually don't do the OTX surveys b/c I never seem to qualify. But with the GF ban, I decided to really apply myself to the task today.

I got a survey after many attempts and it went to completion. I moved it to pending and it did credit on the hour! :)

BUT...
in addition to the 0.89 that I was supposed to get, I also have a credit of 0.75???!!!! This is the first OTX survey that I've completed in almost a month, so there's no way that it's from a recent survey that is late in crediting!

This was a glitch on OUR end. I was doing a manual credit for you and couldn't tell if you did yesterday's OTX or today's, so I just gave you credit for both.

I think I have been thrown out of the toothpaste/deordorant/shampoo at least 10 times. I can't figure out which one they want you to use and question you on. I made it through today, and it took me to what I watch on tv, (sports related). Then it took me to a Sports magazine. I checked I read it, since it is in the schools library. It kicked me out.

I tried again and got the same survey, I chose I didn't read the Sports magazine and it kicked me out. Maybe it recognized me.

I think that they do watch this and if they see a pattern of you changing your answers so that you can qualify for a survey, they consider it to be fraud.

I agree, if you back out then you get the exceed message, BUT what I've found is that most of the OTX's survey's start out VERY familiar... I took one yesterday on dog food, then it started again today, being that I've had survey's similar yet different before I kept going, good thing because the products yesterday are totally different then the one's their asking me about today. IMHO OTX knows if you've completed a survey or attempted to in a day, so I think they know what ones you've taken and won't give you an exact duplicate again? This is just my guess...

Are you guys clearing cookies before doing eac of these surveys? These are tracked exclusively by cookies so you should have no issue getting credit if you are clearing cookies first and if your settings are right.

Funny - I finished an OTX at exactly 2pm by my computer time, and by 2:05 I had credit. That is fast!!

Yes, I cleared my cookies this morning before I started any offers and doublechecked my cookie settings. I guess I'll try again to see if it gives me the exceeded message.

EDIT: Cleared cookies, did another survey and top of the hour came and went without credit. I've never had a problem with OTX crediting. I haven't been able to get any of the ones to credit that everyone else seems to be getting: The $1,500 shopping spree one, Best Buy/Circuit City, Sony Vaio from a few days ago, Pepsi, Electronic Warehouse. My pendings runneth over. I got the enfamil and Yankee (manual credit). That's it. Well, and a credit for ItsYourOpinion.com - Capital Punishment for 0.35 that I don't remember when I did it. I've even opened up a new gmail account and nothing. So frustrating when you've done nothing to your computer to change things and for no good reason, things just don't credit. OH BOTHER!

I feel your frustration also, same problems going on here. I think it has something to do with IE, but I dunno :confused:
I can't play the new games as often as I would like, because they won't load. Hey, I just want some of the action also.

Dumb question but which version of IE are you running? Have you upgraded it recently?

I have wondered about browser version. I just upgraded to IE 7.0 and had trouble getting offers to credit this week. OTX and SM surveys are crediting OK (when I can get one). I did notice that the Security setting on this 7.0 version of IE only goes down to Medium. I still have IE 6.0 at work and I can set that to 'Low' or 'Allow all cookies' (but I can't do offers from my work computer so no way to really compare which is crediting better).

You can check here also:

Tools ---> Internet Options ---> Privacy Tab ---> Advanced button

There are settings there for cookies.

I have Accept 1st and 3rd party cookies and allow session cookies.

Also make sure the default settings didn't reset for pop up blockers or anything when you installed 7.0

Is there any recourse for getting OTX credits?

I finished a survey yesterday and got the congrats screen. I waited a couple of hours and still didn't get a credit (2/14 OTX survey credited within the hour the day before- used the same computer [I may have cleared cookies between the two surveys- don't remember]) I went back to OTX just to make sure and it told me "thank you for your enthusiasm.... but you can only take one survey every 24 hours....come back in 18 hours...."
(this morning it told me 6 hours- so it's keeping track) but still no credit.

Do I file a TT?
Pull out some more hair?

or just call it a lost cause?

sorry no recourse with OTX. Tricia can't even get in touch with them about anything since its run through a 3rd party. Just make sure that you clear your cookies each day before doing one as they are tracked by cookies. Also make sure you got a thanks for finishing the survey not a thanks for attempting to take a survey message.

It was definitely the thanks for completing the survey (I so rarely get those, so I was very suprised to be able to complete OTX surveys two days in a row!)

After 4 days of not qualifying for OTX/My Thoughts Survey I finally got one this morning---I was so happy---However now almost 4 hours later it still has not credited. I normally don't have a problem with OTX crediting---I cleaned cookies before I took it--and haven't installed anything new lately--checked all my settings-- everything is the same. I did the one that was dated for 02/15--- after I moved it to pending a few minutes later the 02/16 posted. Could that have been the problem?? :confused: Oh well I will try again tomorrow............

I completed an OTX on healthcare videos with a fairly long video at the center of it yesterday and it didn't credit. Today they don't want me. Very frustrating. I did manage to get one to credit for the contest, though.

Watch out for a survey on beer.

DH came home with a horrid headache today, and I bugged him by reading a survey to him all about beer. It was very odd that he qualified for it, but his having had a glass of champagne and ONE beer in the last year (b/c it happened last weekend) got him in. He answered all the questions thoughtfully and it was time-consuming. At the very very end, at 90% (the %s were jumping by 10s at this point) with the qualifications....we got an error.

I can't remember the error now, but it wasn't a "you went too fast" or "you lied about your age", but just an error message.

Went back and was told that he already took the survey.

I waited two hours, it never credited. He did the whole survey. :(

So after that I just bugged him again (I'm a retired chiro so I adjusted him and his borderline-migraine went away, but he still doesn't feel 100% well) after clearing cookies and such. Went through the surveys making sure to not retake anything, and since he had taken the entire beer survey, we answered that he has NOT had any beer/wine in the last 4 weeks so that he wouldn't get the beer survey again (feeling that it would be cheating to take it again, since he wasn't booted out, he just got an error), and sadly, there are no other surveys. :(

I wish there were a way to contact them, to let them know of the error message with the beer survey!!!

Just had an odd sort of one. In the beginning it was asking about my internet usage, then it was asking about what I spent my money on each month, how much debt I had, what I splurged on, etc. Then it asked me personal things about what I considered most important, if I had my soul mate, how I rated myself as spiritual/religious, etc. Then it asked what I thot about 4-5 magazines. Finally, a few demographics and I was done. Very easy and not long - but sure an odd collection of questions, I thot.

grrr ... that just happened to me too! I finished one last night around 8:30 and got the "thank you" message. It didn't credit at 9, sometimes mine don't credit right on the hour, so I waited until after 10, still no credit. I tried to take another and it said I'd exceed their limits and to come back tomorrow. Wake up this morning, still no credit. This is the second time this has happened to me with OTX - and with every credit really needing to count, it's so disappointing!:(

I didn't get credit for a fast food one either (not sure if same one). It was about 2 hours ago though, so I'm hoping it is a fluke / lag in credit posting. It took quite a bit of time!

Don't give up hope with your OTX surveys posting. I did one early last evening and it posted overnight sometime. Maybe there is just a lag in crediting right now, but it was several hours for mine.

Anyone know how these fall into recent offers so you can do it. I completed it yesterday at 12:30, yet its not in recent offers today. I took it from the links and did it but no way to put it into pending, and it did not credit for me. Anyone know how this works. Most days it fell into recent before the 24th hour. Thanks for any help. I am confused.

I just check mine and the same exact thing happened to me, I never looked at the date, just assumed is was for today....I was wondering why after it credited in my account that it still looked like I could take it again...just put it in pending, so I'll see what happens? It is strange! :confused:

Was having the same problem more or less, couldn't qualify the last 3 days rlast one I got to credit was Sunday. Neither DH nor I could qualify for one to save our lives. I did notice the date on the survey took longer to change and I'm guessing it's bc Tricia and gang is in Vegas, so she's obviously behind us by a few hours and if I'm not mistaken she's the one that has to update the new one everyday. I just FINALLY got one but it was 10 mins before the 4 o'clock hour so I'm hoping it posts by 5pm.

It was one where you chose from several boxes with varying descriptions of the car you might buy - brand K or L or M or whatever. Only this time these boxes came at the end of the survey, and my answer was acceptable. With the one on GF it was at the beginning of the survey and my answer was never acceptable, so I never got to take the survey. Very funny to me to get credit on OTX for a survey that GF wouldn't allow me to take!!

Arrrggg!! Just about finished an OTX survey and got the dreaded "age" question and of course I totally forgot about this problem and put in my real age and got the boot for being dishonest?? Now I suppose I'm done for the day, this is totally wrong and they should have fixed it by now? :computer:

They're just doing it the wrong way around! They should just give you the survey and do the boxes at the end - ha, but GF would probly still kick people out then. I don't know why OTX would do it differently, but it obviously worked better.
And about the age thing, recently I have been getting asked my age right at the beginning, along with info I filled in on the very first page again. So I have just added the year, and haven't gotten the question again at the end.

If it credited at 4, I'd think you should be able to do one after 4. Did you clear cookies? I got the exceeded message too, but cleared cookies, waited another half-hour or hour and was able to get one then. It seems to be popping up with that message more for me, even after I have waited the 24 hrs or cleared cookies. But I just clear cookies, wait a bit, and try again - eventually it works!

Yup, that's the one I finished about an hour ago and I thankfully I remembered to add a year to my age, got the thankyou page and it credited on the hour! Next time I'll probably forget and get the boot? They really need to address this issue? :(

I notified them via email during the first week of January about their age glitch problem - not only did I not get a response, but they didn't even bother to fix it! Unbelievable. Today I spent close to a half hour on a survey, then got kicked out because I forgot to lie about my age. So, I sent another email, not as nice this time...and I carbon copied the survey sponsor (it was obvious from the survey - it had me visit/evaluate a branded website) this time, so maybe pressure could be put on the company from the people that pay them instead of little ol' me. Probably still won't do any good, but it made me feel better!:rotfl:

I sympathize with you, as I can't seem to get an OTX one either but I've changed my way of thinking about these surveys since the ban was lifted. I'm not going to stress over them anymore, if I qualify than great and if I don't, oh well, it is free money and I'll take it when I can. I'm finding my days are not revolving around trying to qualifying for surveys anymore and are way less stressful than before when I was changing emails around, asking different members of the family to try for one to help me out, life is much simpler to me now! I'm enjoying it this way much better! :angel:

Same thing happened to my DH yesterday. He couldn't get a survey on any of the sites. OTX had been especially frustrating for him because most of the time he does not receive credit for the surveys he completes. I agree with PSL1013. We just don't stress over them anymore and with the new bonus for March it makes it so much easier if you miss a day or two.

I did learn to put the age that I will be later this year, they only ask for the birth year so they don't know if you have aged yet. I was denied earlier this year for one because of the age thing, now I know better.

How often are you clearing out your cookies? Is it daily? If so are you getting credit for other things?

I'm sorry if you posted this previously, I read back a few, but not all the way.

Are you clearing cookies before you take it?

Is this what you get automatically, or is it after you go through some pages of questions?

Don't know if it is true for all but I found I get that message if:

1. It is w/in 24 hours of when last credit rec'd.

2. I x'd out/closed browser b/c they give me a survey I've already taken (I hate when that happens, you'd think your email eliminate them offering dups.)

3. Instead of clicking the "Yes I'd like to try for another survey" button...I x'd out and went through the SR link again.

That being said I try to just go through, whent I get one, Yay! Free moolah. When I don't, I go clean the house :p

I did an OTX survey today, and when I was done I got the usual screen (thank you for taking the survey, etc.) but I never got credited. I tried to take another just to see if I was going nuts, and it gives me the 24 hour warning.
I do remember, though, looking at the clock when I had finished, and it was exactly 12:00 on my computer clock. I know they normally credit on the hour so I was hoping that it would credit right away. When it didn't, I checked at 1:00 and it didn't happen then either. And it's still not there. Did my timing (finishing on the hour) have anything to do with not being credited?

Okay, I'm still confused about this: can DH and I alternate taking OTX surveys? Currently, he is doing OTX surveys and I am doing the Greenfield surveys. I realize I have to consistently keep doing the Greenfield surveys, but if DH is too busy to do the OTX survey or is not qualified for a survey on a particular day, could I also try to do one?:confused:

I think that you can switch on the OTX, I do not believe that there has been anything said that the same person has to take it each time it is just the Greenfield ones and as a result, also the SM ones.

you may be right. greenfield surveys are tracked by email addresses and otx surveys are tracked by cookies. you may want to check with tricia on this just to be on the safe side so that no one gets into any trouble like before.:sunshine:

Does anyone else have this happen? For the last few days on OTX (and the amp offer) my computer has frozen in the middle of a survey that I qualified for and I couldn't refresh or back up or anything. It finally took me back to the beginning, and then gave me the "you've come back too soon" screen and won't let me try. It's getting frustrating. I like doing these surveys and usually get one at least 4 or so times a week but this week, nada.

Yes - this happened to me too, today - got the AMP page at the end of the regular OTX survey.
So I waited for the survey to credit, cleared cookies, tried the AMP later and was able to get one with no trouble. I didn't do one yest. - didn't have the chance do much yest. at all - as I didn't understand this whole deal yet with it being an alternative survey with OTX. I just thot it was a new one-time offer thing!
The funny deal is, the AMP one kept saying I didn't qualify for this or that survey, and finally, when I clicked the try again button, it suddenly said I had qualified for a survey about wireless phone service providers!! Funny thing, but didn't bother me to get a survey.
So now I'll see how it goes with getting credit and with trying these surveys again tomorrow.
I've been reading these threads about this MTC/AMP, and I'm not entirely clear on it all yet, but I'm sure it'll come clear before long.

They have an issue with age since the beginning of 08, big thread on it. Started 1/1/08 basically once the year started it felt you were a year older if you didn't have your bday already. I'll be 34 in April, the first time I entered 33 it said I was dishonest, but if I entere 34 i'm fine. If it asks your specific age and you haven't had a bday yet you need to put what you WILL be this year. I would have thought that they would have fixed this by now.

Please don't fill out trouble tickets on things like invalid or redirecting links!

By posting issues either in the survey threads or in the broken links thread they can catch and fix problems fast. When you report via trouble ticket it gets buried and will take days to see as well as buring real trouble tickets they need to deal with.

UPDATE: Went back about 1/2 later and was able to get a survey. I'm confused, and I know for sure that last time I attempted an OTX/AMP survey was a couple hours earlier than this.

I keep getting the "you've already taken a survey". I haven't even done that yet, I closed out of one I had tried to take before, came back to try and again and got that message. Tried to go through the AMP one and same message that I have already taken one.

i don't think you can take both as they are both otx surveys so if you get credit for one you will more than likely get the message that you have already exceeded your limit for the day. did you clear out your cookies before you started another otx survey? that might help - you never know.:sunshine:

I was reading to see if anyone knew how the surveys fall into place so you can do them, after 24 hrs past. I finished one yesterday at 10:30 still has not dropped in. Anyone know how this works?

I read alot of problems with OTX. My suggestion is do not do them in Firefox. I switched to IE for OTX and I very seldom have those issues with redirection or error pages. Also you need to use ccleaner.com after every OTX, and AMP that you do. It works the best. If you do not want to download the cleaner, try closing your bowser, clearing cookies and going back into the site. For me the cleaner works the best.

when did you do the amp survey? as both surveys are run thru otx i can only assume that you would only be able to do one a day and not both. if you have not done an otx survey today, try cleaning out all your cookies and your temp internet files and maybe that will help. keep smiling.:sunshine:

I haven't had any problems getting OTX after doing AMP. I do run ccleaner multiple times a day.

I'm wondering if maybe some of us have different settings checked off for ccleaner and that's why it is working better for some of us than others. Ccleaner seems to get everything off for me and I rarely have trouble getting credit for offers. I'm going to post the settings I have marked for ccleaner. Hopefully it may help someone out there!

DH got qualified for two different OTX surveys today (at different times, of course). Each was IDENTICAL to two he's had in recent days. He tried to do a little of each of them to make sure it was not just similar, but the first 5 or 6 pages were IDENTICAL. He closed them out and got no survey credits for today. He doesn't put in an e-mail address for them, but I thought that as long as he used the same demographics consistently, it didn't matter. He is the family member for the OTX surveys, I do the Greenfield surveys.

I've been pretty lucky with OTX surveys (knock on wood!!). I've almost always gotten one and it's almost always credited.

I just did a super easy one on upcoming movies. It lasted maybe a total of 5 minutes. :cooldance: Now let's hope it credits. :)

Otx age is 2008 less your birth year regardless of month. So if you were born Sept of 1969, you are 39, even if you are actually 38.

Anyway, for those who got the "none available" shpiel, did you try adding an email address? I tried late last night and got the same thing. I didn't put in an email address that time (I normally never do). This morning I tried again and put in an email addy and got one right away. I don't know if one thing had anything to do with the other, but it's worth a shot, especially with the increased payout. :)

were you able to get a survey before when you did not put in an email address? i tried doing that once and it told me it needed one (even though it says it is optional). i have always put in an email address when i do otx as i thought i was suppose to. i guess they need it so if you win they can contact you. i'm glad you got a survey today.:sunshine:

I used to put one in, too, after I figured out which one it would take - some of mine it would not seem to recognize. It would still say, if you don't put in an email address we can't notify you when you win, blah blah, but it still let me continue. But then I saw some posts where some said they didn't ever put one in anyway, so after that, I didn't, usually. For a couple months I have gotten them just fine that way. Now, the last 2 days, if I don't put in the email addy, it says no surveys available. But if I put in the addy, I get one. So maybe it isn't optional anymore, for all I know!

I figured out today why all of sudden email is required. I tried the same email I used yesterday, and was told I am glad you are so excited to take a survey, however come back in 1 hour. I tried a different email and got a survey. So I figured its there way of keeping you to 24hrs.

i have been trying since 1:30 this afternoon to get an otx survey - first it said i had exceeded my limit for the day - now at 2:38 after i put in an email address it goes to the screen that says we're sorry you don't qualify for any surveys today. what's up with that? i didn't even get to answer any questions at all - it just totally kicked me out. is anyone else having this problem or is it just me. Yay - I got one!!! After getting both the pages you can get now, the you didn't qualify and the exceeded daily limit (which appears as a blue one for me), I managed to get one about sports, basketball in particular. Wow - they seem to have made it somewhat more difficult to get one the last few days.

at least i now know it isn't just me that this is happening to. it kinda makes you wonder what is going on with otx today as this has never happened to me before. oh well, i guess i'll give up for today and try again tomorrow. maybe i will have better luck and i wish you all better luck tomorrow too. happy surveying.:sunshine:

i finally got one at 4:45 this afternoon and it already credited. the only problem with taking one so late in the day is that i have to wait until after 5 tomorrow afternoon to take another one. oh well, i guess that is the price i have to pay for at least getting one. i guess perserverance (spelling?) does pay off in the long run.:cooldance:

That's ok I have been a member for over a year and I never get them either. There is just something about my demographics that they dont want. It doesn't stop me from trying and when i get aggravated I just stop trying for a while. Can't really tell you if I have ever gotten one to go through. I just focus on the daily survey and on things that I can do.

These aren't the Daily surveys, but the survey found in the Offers section. It's different. :)

so you're referring to the OTX surveys...I see.

I always put an email. I thought we had to in order to insure credit through SR. I haven't been able to get one in a while though.

I'm heading home from work and I am going to try my hardest tonight! I'm starting this month off right!

Well, that's what it says with the Greenfield surveys, if you are not this addy, click here - and I don't dare try a different email address with them!! With OTX, I didn't even use one for quite a while because you could do it without putting one in. But now, I can't seem to get one unless I do put an email addy in - that's what I mean. They don't seem to be fussy if you use more than one, so I have switched between 2.

Now this morning I'm trying to do the new amp survey offer......I think I have a survey.....then it times out because of an "internal error". So I try to get another one and I get the "You have exceeded your daily limit" screen. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!! Why am I being penalized for their error????? Doesn't make sense to me! :computer:

This is the same thing that happened to me with this survey. It is VERY FRUSTRATING

I tried the AMP survey this morning and was doing well for a while. Suddenly, when I clicked the NEXT button to move on to the following page I got a message that PAUSED the survey, and you can only attempt this survey once. Didn't see a pause option, nor did I push anything other than the NEXT.:computer:

Update: came back a little while later and was told I timed out of the survey, even though I had closed everything down. Waited an hour or two, cleared cookies, went back in.........you guessed it........now I've done my survey allowance for the day! Oh well, at least I gave it the good college try!
