If there aren't any surveys for you, doesn't it take you back to the MyThoughts page or AMP page and basically say "thank you, try again later"?

The last one I took was on May 1st. Since then I haven't been able to get any. As soon as I put in all of my demographics (been using the same one each time), I get the message that I have exceeded the number of surveys for the allowed time frame. I have cleared cookies and all of that and since we've been on vacation, I have not taken surveys anywhere. So, it is rather perplexing to me. I did have a very good month taking them in April so I thought perhaps there just weren't any surveys for me- but I'm now thinking something else is wrong. Not sure what else I should do on my computer though.:confused:

I'm getting very frustrated lately as well. I am able to complete the surveys but crediting has been very hit or miss. I am losing credits for every 3-5 out of 10 that I do. No I am not doing any through any other sites and have been running ccleaner regularly. I have even been going through several of the offers at the end to see if that helps and I am still having the same problem - grrrr!

i just finished one on 2 tv shows on a particular station and it was quick and painless (less than 10 minutes). i love those kind of surveys - lets just hope it credits on the hour.:cooldance:

I just tried to take a survey and it said that I did not give an honest answer. Now they won't let me back in. I'm not quite sure which question I didn't answer honestly... :computer: Oh well maybe they'll let me in later?...

sometimes that happens with your age....i think you're supposed to put the age you'll be on your birthday this year, whether it's already passed or not, b/c mtc/otx just goes by the year and assumes everyone's already had a birthday. at least, i think that's what i remember someone advising-if i'm remembering those posts incorrectly, i hope someone will post and correct me.

i'm so sorry that happened to you, but it must've been some sort of glitch on their end b/c i did the same survey about 3 hours ago and i got to the end & got credit on the hour w/ no problems.

OTX has a glitch that calculates the age you will be this year, whether or not you have had your birthday. When it asks for your age, put in the age you will turn this year, even if it hasn't happened yet.

If you have already had your birthday this year and didn't mistype your age, then I am not sure what happened! :sunshine:

A funny thing - yesterday I had to wait 25 hours after the hour my OTX credited to take one again. Just on a whim, I tried for one today, just 24 hours exactly after I started the one from yesterday, and it worked. So I didn't have to wait 24 hours after the hour it credited today, only 23. Funny, but fine with me!

So I skipped OTX and took it this morning. Now I am back to the early morning and hopefully going to keep it that way. I just did a nice short one on satellite radio.

I'm in some kind of OTX loop and can no longer qualify for their surveys. For two-three weeks, I've been getting a video game one that kicks me out after 10-12 screens -- I started just closing when I got the first question. Now, I'm getting a satelite radio one that I don't qualify for. When I get booted out of it, I'm routed to the video game one.:rotfl:

When I don't get these surveys, I get that I have too many in their system -- odd since I have NO completions in their system at the moment.

Any ideas how to fix this problem? I was thinking that we might switch surveytakers since we apparently can do that with OTX. One of my sons might qualify for the videogame one.

I have yet to get the right answer for the video game question or the right number of running shoes I buy in a year. However, I did just get one on a fashion store.

A word of advice, Moosebrains . . . You're not supposed to look for the "right" answer to get qualified. You're supposed to give honest answers, which means the answer to how many pairs of shoes and whether you play a video game should be essentially the same every time. (Since we all do lots of surveys, I understand that minor details may vary.)

After "surveygate," most of us are trying to be really careful about consistency so that Sunshine Rewards doesn't get in trouble for having invalid surveys.

is it me or otx? for the last couple of days i have had no problems at all getting an otx survey. now today, i started one a little after 1, got kicked out of it as i did not qualify and when i pressed do another survey i was told i had exceeded my limit for the day. i just tried again and got the same message. i have not done an otx survey since yesterday so i do not understand why i am having this problem now (it has been over 25 hours since i did the last one and 24 hours since it credited). help.:confused::computer:

i took an otx survey last night a little after 6 and i have been trying since 6 tonite to get another one. first it said to come back in an hour so i went back and tried again at 7 and it said that i had exceeded my limit. so i waited another hour and tried again at 8 and i got the same message again. last night was the latest i had ever taken an otx survey as prior to that i had been getting them in the afternoon. i don't understand why i am having so many problems today getting an otx survey as it has been relatively easy the last week and a half. sorry for my rantings but i am just a little frustrated by it all (please forgive me).:confused::computer:

Sometimes you just have to walk away and say it's not worth it - it's only .75. I got an OTX survey today for the first time in two days. Some days you win some and some days you lose (or just miss out on) some!! I know it sometimes sucks but it's just surveys!! :hugs:

try a different e-mail address, if you have one. otx isn't quite as particular about that as greenfield. i wouldn't make a habit of it, but since it was a glitch on THEIR end, i'd give it a shot this time. after you clear cookies again, of course.

I have taken OTX surveys for 4 of the last 5 days. I have completed each survey, got the the thank you screen but I only got crdeit for one of the surveys! :computer: I know its only $.75 but some of the surveys took about an hour to complete! After this happened 2 times I deleted cookies, the next day I got credit for that days survey. Last night I completed another one and didn't get credit! :confused: What can I do?

I just got re-routed to another survey through OTX, It looks JUST LIKE Greenfield's beginning questions that we fill out on the Daily Survey page... I don't think I want to take that survey because I don't want to be burned with greenfield... .. Can OTX have Greenfield Surveys?????

I have not been able to get on OTX survery in about 5 days. It keeps giving me the same survey and when I don't qualify it says that I have exceeded my surveys and to come back soon. Try tomorrow. This has happened for the last 5 days, not sure what is going on.

OTX tracks by cookies. So if you took one the day before, you need to clear cookies before you take another. To be safe, what I do is always clear cookies before I take an OTX, aside from the occassional fluke I always get credit.

Glad you're getting them though! But sorry you missed the credit.

Okay, so I should clear my cookies everyday? Its kind of funny that it knows that I took the survey and will not let me take another one before my 24 hours is up.... Very strange!

They track you by you email address and possibly IP address to know exactly when you did your last one. They use the cookie to give you credit. I always clear my cookies after I get credit for it (assuming I haven't recently done any other offers that haven't credited)

You should clear cookies before taking OTX because that one tracks strictly by cookies. If you take it today (whether or not you get credit) it sets a cookie on your computer and the next day it will still be there and prevent you from getting credit. So clear cookies before doing the OTX and you should have no problem getting credit on the hour (or thereabouts).

Jaime if you are worried about your cookies try my method:

Wake up
Clear cookies
Take the DS
Clear cookies again (only worry about this when you make Super Member next quarter)
Then do any freebies/OTX/SuperMember surveys
Do any shopping
Go to bed

Repeat each day

Thats another thing! I had been taking them without clearing cookies and didn't have any problem getting credit until Friday! Now all of a sudden I don't get credits!

Anyway I cleared my cookies right before I took the survey, I just home I still get credit for the DS I did earlier!

Also when you are done with the OTX surveys does it take you so some other survey site instead of SR? I just noticed it has een doing that to me for the past few days.

OTX doesn't bring you back to SR usually it brings you to an "offer" type page. It's ok to close that page once you get to it.

Daily surveys are tracked by UserID so as long as you were signed into SR when you clicked the link for it you will be ok. There are no cookie trackings on DS.

Did you see Tricia's post yesterday about OTX? The company that was doing them has paused the campaign on them so when you click that link it should be an AMP survey that you take for now. Once they get things back up and running she will switch them back out. I wouldn't be concerned about the credits since this is a different company and tracked the same way. Clear your cookies and try out the AMP survey and see how you do!

Yes I clicked on the front page as usual for OTX and it looked almost the same but it was AMP. I completed it and got credit for it.

I just got a survey that was unusual. The review was about Soap, and I was asked to use a webcam to respond to something I was shown. Hmm..... unusual, I had a webcam so I did it, just thought that was rare. Anyone else get one like this ?

For me, the only way I can try to continue to take one is if I press the "yes try to find another survey" button right after I don't qualify. If I close the page and go back and try later then it always says I have already got one and to try again tomorrow.

i am truly sorry that you are having so many crediting problems with otx surveys. i can totally empathize with you as i had lots of problems back in december (at least 12 did not credit for me so i know how you feel). are you deleting your cookies and temporary internet files before you take an otx survey? otx tracks by cookies so if you don't delete yesterdays cookies otx will pick up that cookie as the current one and you won't get credit. all i can say is to keep trying and if you need a shoulder i will be here for you. have a nice memorial day weekend and try to keep smiling.:sunshine:

I did one yesterday, too, and it didn't credit. I thought maybe I was wrong but when I went in to do an OTX today it told me I hadn't waited 24 hours and would need to come back later so I know they received my survey on their end.

They do credit on the weekends on the hour.

I just got a super super easy one on premium brand jeans. Was like 5 minutes long, at most. :cooldance: Now I just have to sit back a few more minutes and see if it credits.

Not sure if it will help you all, but thought I would throw this out there for those having crediting issues. I have always had REALLY good luck with OTX until the beginning of May. For over a week, everytime I tried to take one, it said I had exceeded the limit although I had not taken any surveys and was clearing cookies. Catherine (M n C) has always suggested using CCleaner as a regular measure but I have never used it. I was very frustrated with the OTX issues (could envision how much money I was missing out on!!!), so I downloaded CCleaner and bingo... I was able to take OTX and have had no problems receiving credits this week!! I have also had a little better luck on the freebies since adding this to my routine.

So, if you haven't used it before, you might give it a try. I had been clearning cookies, but I'm guessing there was a stubborn one in there that was being missed.

Hope your crediting issues are short lived!!

Same thing for me :(:confused:. I got into 2 different ones, went a long ways into them, then suddenly got told I didn't qualify for the survey. Now it says 'you did not meet the criteria to take a survey today'. I don't get it either. I have never gotten kicked out of an OTX like that. I was giving honest, careful answers too - maybe I wasn't supposed to say I was neutral about something to be able to complete the survey?! Beats me. I wanted to get an early one today because we will be busy later, but guess it won't be.

ETA - tried one more time, and got a nice short easy one!!

i had the same problem-didn't qualify. that was almost an hour ago so i'm going to give it a few more minutes and try again with my other e-mail addy. if it doesn't work, so be it, i'm disgusted with today anyway-i've already cleaned up one toilet overflow (now my knees hurt so bad i can barely walk) and am now washing the towels and rugs messed up from said overflow. can i just say i HATE low-flush toilets!!! sorry for the rant. it's just one of those days. have a lovely holiday with your family :sunshine2:

I just got the wierdest survey..... question 1 was do you promise to awnser truthfully, question 2 was have you taken a survey in the last 3 months (any survey). It told me I didn't qualify..... seems odd an online survey site would want someone who hasn't taken a survey in 3 months. I don't think any of us could qualify for that one ! :cry:

I am also having a bad streak....tired of seeing the same few questions. Don't give up... everyonce in awhile they will throw some new surprises in there. I had decent luck at the beginning of the month...got one almost everyday. Now the last week or so I can only get one every few days.

These are really starting to annoy me. 2 days in a row I have qualified, spent a good 25-30 minutes on the survey and then get the message that I finished sooner than 95% of others??? Ok, well if every survery that I take is going to take me an hour to finish then I guess I will skip them. I make sure that I read them, and answer truthfully, watch all the videos etc. Its just really frustrating that they have all my answers and info, but disqualify me after the fact. I got a Greenfield survey yesterday that ran through OTX and I did qualify (hadn't gotten an OTX in days so there would have been no problem qualifying from a time standpoint). I completed it, even though I figured I wouldn't be able to try for an OTX one which is exactly what happened - got the "sorry, maximum survey' message when I tried to take an actual OTX. But that's OK - I'll take anything I can get these days.

I just tried another OTX survey, it was 20 minutes about an tv network. The survey was on insightexpress.com and was awful. aside from Hundreds of clicks that could have been summed up nicer, alot of the questions were not filled in by the survey. so it would just "place holder 1" and ask how much i've seen it. If you are using the same email and demographics then you are not getting the same surveys. There are many many surveys with the same screener questions but they are different surveys. Once you close that window you are shut out of the surveys until tomorrow. So next time just keep going and don't close out until it either says thanks for taking a survey or none available.

it sounds like otx is still having a problem with the age issue where you have to add a year to your age even if you haven't had your birthday yet this year. they think that since it is 2008 you are a year older than what you really are. kinda confusing but that's what i think the problem is. sorry you got kicked out of the survey after spending so much time on it. all i can say is to take a deep breath and try again in a little while. have a great day.:sunshine:

OTX surveys credit within an hour or two at the most. If you got the thank you and didn't get credit then it had to be a cookie issue. For some reason your cookie for that survey wasn't picked up, recognized, there or whatever. It does occasionaly happen. If you cleared your cookies before you started then you shouldn't have had an issue but we all know that computers are so iffy some time. Sorry you didn't get credit and I hope today is better. :sunshine:

I always select that I've done video surveys in the list of recent surveys. I never qualify for it and yet it seems like if I just opt out of it, I can't get another one. So I go through it, say none over & over, and often get offered another survey after I get disqualified from this one.

Is it just me or does this happen to the rest of you too?

Worst OTX ever...... 45 plus mins awnsering questions about my tv habits, then interne radio habits, the social opinions I am at 80 some percent and it asks for demographics and says don't qualify after I saw I am attracted to the opposite sex (Apparently they only wanted people who like the same sex?). This sucks I took the survey slow, it took a long time, they asked all of their questions and then tell me I don't qualify. GRRRRRRRRRRR :computer: As much as I like the credit I definatly will not sit through another one tonight. Maybe not all weekend!


Oh, I got that one too. Yep, yep, it kicked me off at the same question with the same answer....so obviously we know what the answer they're looking for is. Not sure what that has to do with tv and internet habits but who knows.

i wish there was more consistency with otx surveys. on sunday and monday i was able to take one 24 hours after taking the first one. not today though, today it is saying i have exceeded my limit. do i wait 24 hours after taking one or 24 hours after it credits? there never seems to be any rhyme or reason with otx. it's like they make up their own rules as they go along and then they decide when you can take another one. it has been over 24 hours since my last survey and just at 24 hours since it credited so what's the deal? i know these questions must sound redundant to all of the otx survey takers but sometimes it just gets a little confusing.:confused:

Well, I don't know the solution, but yesterday while getting into an OTX survey (which never credited) I noticed this:

And of course I got the error afterwards.

But it's been about 15 hours, and no credit (er, "incentive", as they call it).

what is with otx? the last survey i took was 12:00 pm yesterday, it credited at 1:00 and i have been trying for about 1 1/2 hours today and all i get is you have exceeded your limit - please come back tomorrow. it has been over 24 hours since my i did an otx so i do not understand why i can't get one at all. any ideas or suggestions.:confused:

It couldn't hurt if they are having consistent problems. I'm still seeing credits come through, though, so the problems must be isolated to a group of you.

I got one that said this yesterday, but I didn't get an error and I did get credit. I answered questions on a couple of different things, like have I bought certain products and then where did I buy them and then questions about the stores.

I just finished a long one about banking and hotels and had the same thing happen. I doubt I'll see credit. Just one more reason I really hate OTX!

I keep getting these questions too - but for me after about 20 questions the survey will suddenly veer off to another topic. Yesterday I did one on vitamins for family. I still cannot figure out what my going to fast food eateries (or whatever else) has to do with vitamins... or sports (which was the day before), or my ancestory? :rotfl::rotfl:

I think it has been having issues throughout the day. Check the super member forum, that is where the my2cents surveys info can be found (since it is only for sm's...I didn't want to post a link here b/c it wouldn't work for everyone...).

I was having problems all evening with the DS. I would get about halfway done and the next page would not load. I think it happened on about five different surveys. i got one like that yesterday late afternoon and i completed it, got the thank you for taking this survey and got credited for it on the hour as an otx survey (my thought counts).:sunshine::sunshine: i really don't think it should count against you for gf as it does come from otx and it asks all the amp questions once you have completed the survey. hope this helps you. have a great day.

That happens to me sometimes when I get booted out / browser freezes on otx. Clear cookies and try again in an hour or two if you have time. It usually lets me back in. Good luck!

I too am focused on the daily survey and all I have done today is try and qualify for a survey! I just don't seem to qualify for anything today and I have the feeling that this weekend is not going to be any better. I was hoping for the big bonus this month.

I find that it is sometimes better to take OTX in late afternoon or early evening. I think they might release new ones then that aren't available in the morning. I just took one at 2:15 west coast time and I had been trying all day.

OtX can be very frustrating in trying to qualify you for the same surveys, ie. NFL, video games, do you have a cell phone - I have answered both yes and no to that question and both times did not qualify!!! It helps a little to put all of your info in even the stuff that isn't required because they're going to ask you for it anyways!!!

Congrats on making $25 so fast!! Good luck and remember to have fun!!

Be careful switching up your answers (nfl, video games), they may consider it fraud...since technically your interests shouldn't really change overnight.

I realize some may change down the road, like you may in fact buy an xbox so your answer will be different. I just wouldn't go throwing a bunch of noodles at the wall trying to make one stick :)

I know it is frustrating to get them when you know you'll get booted, but I've actually had a few go through, with all my same answers. It just depends on what they are looking for that day.

That happened to me on the 2nd day of crazy credits, I very rarely have an issue with them not crediting.

The same thing happened to me tonight. I'm guessing we won't get credit or another chance at a survey. I thought it was just me until I read this. Maybe they are having issues.
