I live in Lake Mills between Madison and Milwaukee. We're trying to keep warm here. I'm a teacher and we got to come home 2 hours early today:cooldance:

My DD(16) actually called me within an hour of school start this morning saying they would be getting out at 12:30.

The handicapped workshop (we own and operate a group home for the developmentally disabled) closed at noon.

At about noon, I was returning with a client from a doctor appointment. Had no problem. Decided to run inside and make a quick list and grocery run. I could not have been gone more than 10 minutes when I went to leave. Put the car in reverse just fine but then went to go forward and could not move. I had to back all the way down the driveway. (For me backing and driving are never a good idea.)

Do you think this winter is ever going to end.????

This has been a terrible winter! My husband came home early today, I was so happy because I feared if he waited too long he might have been stuck in Madison for the night:(

I'm hoping that the windchill tomorrow will be cold enough for a day off school. (of course since I want it to happen it probably won't)

I thought I'd say hello to fellow Wisconsinites. I'm in Menomonee Falls and no school for us today. Unfortunately, that means our last day of school will now be on a Monday. They have no snow days built in, so we keep adding them at the end. Tonight, we'll watch the news and I bet like last year, we'll see a ton of parents with their kids at the mall and waterpark. Let them have school I say! :rotfl:

(Let me just add I'm a mom to a 5K and 5th grader and a school bus driver, so I am out there myself.)

OK, I'm feeling a bit insensitive, but a 2-hour delay would have been the best. The wind has calmed down around here by 9:00am, and they were reporting by 10:00am.

We have no school today either...Which meant no dance, no preschool and I don't have to teach piano lessons :cooldance: you know, every once in a while you just need a break. Bella is disappointed, no preschool for 2 days and she is climbing the walls.

I would like to know about netflix as well...if anyone knows. :)

I think its 21 days.

I did this offer and had to put in a TT and they said I had a duplicate signup but I've never used Netflix nor have I ever received any credit from them. Hopefully I'll get credit because I don't do to many offers.

Blockbuster and Netflix are really hard to get credits for. :( I think it's because there is so much fraud (people signing up to get the reward and cancelling quickly) It's like they go overboard in the direction of NOT giving credits. We have 3 outstanding Netflix and SEVEN Blockbuster right now. I actually pulled Blockbuster because that is hundreds of dollars that they are not paying me now. I hate it because the services themselves are good. But the offers just always end up being crappy.

Oh wow! I really hope it goes through! We actually really like Netflix and will keep the membership, but I'll still be really annoyed with them if I don't get the credits. I was really counting on that big offer.

Does this mean that it's a lost cause getting the credit? The reason I ask is I had wanted to try Blockbuster to compare to Netflix, which we have done for a couple of years. My thought was that we'd use the exchange in the store option, but we haven't as of yet, and chances are we won't use it, I think that was hopefully thinking on my part. It's been more than a month since I originally signed up.

If I'm sure not to get credit, I'm thinking I might as well cancel, but I don't want to jump the gun either.

The blockbuster one showed up in my account history with a credit hold until 3/15 it showed up almost right away. I did not do the netflicks because my DH had already signed up for it with telling me. DORK!
