A huge favorite is back--Blockbuster! Last time, we only had it for two weeks. I don't know how long it will last this time. You have to be a NEW member signing up for the 9.99 for one month package, but you get 15 credits. With the writer's strike, it is a GREAT time to try it out! The Sunshine Family has been using Blockbuster Online for about 8 months now and loves it. We get our three online and then return them locally to get 3 new ones--1 for the family to watch together and then 1 for the parents and 1 for the kids. We turn it into pizza and movie night almost every Saturday night this time of year.

If you have ever thought about trying Blockbuster, now would be a perfect time.

Oooh...I'm definitely going to check into this. We usually borrow our movies from the public library but there are times they don't have the latest release or get the "off the wall" titles that you want to watch. You're right - not much better than a Sat. family night with pizza and a movie.
Thanks.

Tricia,
I signed up Nov. 2006 and cancelled by January 2007. We liked having it, but we found it took so long to get movies and we live really far from Blockbuster. It's worth the price now, since Blockbuster increased their movies to $2.99 Am I out, since I was a member once?

You can try it, but I can't guarantee that they would give us credit since they might track it back to your home address. Being out for over a year might give you a chance. I would say only try it if you were going to try it otherwise without us having it listed.

Wow! Credited on the hour (in pending). Now, I have my 30 selections in my queue...I guess I just wait until something ships? Going to catch up on 24 back from Season 1 - I need Jack Bauer in January - it's all that gets me through the winter.

Awesome. Thanks.

This was a great offer! We ended up not keeping the service because we don't rent that much (DD8 prefers shows on TV and DD5 watches the Disney princess movies over and over), but it would be great with older kids and adults. I expect we will do this as our kids get older - it was very convenient!

Is the credit for Blockbuster fast? I did it yesterday and I haven't seen credit for it yet... This is the first time I am doing it... haven't done it in the past.

I think it credited immediately or on the top of the hour but it is in "pending."
HTH.

Unfortunately it's an "offer" so they can't request credits for these.

Mine went to pending on the hour, and 2 days later I had 3 movies in my mailbox. I really like this offer so far! The kids love it too bc they're getting fun movies to watch.

That's how I felt about the Stamps offer, I really wanted the service, but didn't get credit for it. Oh well you win some you lose some. Still a great service. (both Blockbuster and Stamps)

Does anyone know how many movies you can rent per month - either by mail or going into the store?

My understand was unlimited rentals in a month, but your only allowed to "return" 5 per month in the store if you get them via the website sent to your home.

I also signed up for the Blockbuster offer but never received credit. It doesn't even show up as "pending". Bummer!

Same here, but it's only been a couple days. I'm just hoping for a nice surprise in a couple days :)

I may be wrong but I thought if you paid money for an offer, you could file a TT? I did the stamps.com offer and didn't get credit for it. I remember being told that because there was no monthly or signup fee, I couldn't request the missing credit. If I had paid something to sign up for the offer, then I'd have a chance by filing a TT? And, then, there's always the chance that I'm confused again!

Good luck with your credits.

No, Tricia posted about this in the Veggie Tales thread. Basically if it's a service you want your getting a good deal as it is, the credit's are just a bonus.

Also FYI, I did this one and it credited either immediately or on the hour (in pending). I also did stamps but never received credit for that one.
