I won't name any specific names because I don't know if that's allowed, but just thought it would be fun to see if anyone else has gotten products sent to them in the mail to try. Sometimes I'll get a survey and at the end it asks if I would be interested in having the company send me a product in the mail to try and then answer another survey via email after trying the product for a specified amount of time.

Over the past 2 years, the products I've received are:

1 lb. of whole bean coffee
Full size shampoo & conditioner
1 regular sized box of children's cereal
6 pack of children's yogurt (sent overnight in insulated package w/ ice packs and a thermometer!)

They've all been name brands and are products our family uses and loves!

Fun! :sunshine:

Air Freshner-I didn't know I had to send it back-they sent me a new box to resend it.

Hershey's sent me 3 boxes of chocolate and I had to do really long survey's how I liked each flavor.

Some gadget for my IPad, that will hook up to my tv so I can see what I am doing on the tv vs. looking at my IPad. That didn't work.

Just this last week I got a box of cereal. Also around Christmas last year my husband received about 12 packs of ciggerettes from a survey company. We also go a check for $50 for doing the short surveys about them.

For surveys themselves I have gotten quite a bit of makeup. The weirdest was when I had to test the mascara and then send the rest back. I didn't quite get that.

I've been finding lately that my Klout score on Twitter is actually worth some good stuff to try out. Right now I have a 3 month supply of an expensive deodorant!

Just this last week I received two boxes of meals where I had to add my own ground beef. They compensated me for the meat by sending me 2 $5 coupons off my entire grocery order. I had to fill out a short online survey about how my family liked it.
It was totally fun!

Not that I would call it a "fun" product, but tried feminine protection products and then completed a 10 minute questionnaire. Got to choose a gift card for my participation which I did not expect; that was not mentioned in the initial survey. :)

I did this product test back in August and never got the gift card which was not a big deal; I did the test because I enjoy testing new products. Check my mail today and there is a $20 gift card to a well know Coffee shop chain. Very surprised to get the gift card after 6 months. :)

This is funny, not necessarily fun. It started out with an average survey that had this as its first question: Do you or do you not use toilet paper? The survey went on to ask about what qualities I look for in my tp and at the end asked if I would be willing to try a product. I forgot all about it then one day a package arrived. In it were two packages of tp to try.

I've had cereal, crackers, juice, and my favorite, a huge bottle of name brand fabric softner 197 loads!! I'm still using that.

Think I got the same TP one, it was awhile ago.

That's hilarious! Sometimes I just want to say "no" to see what they say! lol! Or those ones that ask if you have recently traveled to outer space....has anyone actually said yes?? :D

Whenever I see that, I crack up. Especially because the other options are so much more normal: have you gotten engaged, married, had a baby...traveled to outer space?? :rotfl:

Last summer I got so frustrated with not getting a SH that I actually DID click on the "traveled to outer space" one. Just to see if anything different would happen. :rotfl: Nothing did but, yes, I did try it....

Just finished testing a yogurt brand. They must have spent a fortune shipping it to me as it came in a box enclosing a styrofoam cooler with several dry ice packs and a thermometer. I eat yogurt just about everyday, so receiving this was a nice surprise.

wow, I haven't been asked to do this. I'd love to. Did you sign up with a certain company?

I didn't sign up for anything. All the products I have tested have been the result of surveys I have done thru SR. Got an e-mail yesterday that I will be receiving a meal starter product to test next week.

I got this same survey and follow up email. Mine is supposed to arrive by UPS today and I will have until March 9th to try the product and do a follow up survey. I also received a full bottle of shampoo and conditioner a year or so ago to try and complete a follow up survey. It was kind of neat! :sunshine:

I love this topic!

I have received all kinds of things to test. None of these items were through SR surveys, but through other survey companies I belong to.

Several years ago I received a box of yogurt-covered granola bars. Yummy.

I've received travel-size shampoo and conditioner. I think I also received a full size shampoo and conditioner but am blanking out on when it was.

I've received full size body wash/shower gel.

I've received a frozen meal starter kit (that the UPS guy left with my apartment managers, where it was sitting in melting dry ice overnight because no one bothered to tell me that they had signed for my package).

I've received 2 full size bottles of the same fabric wash/detergent - one bottle from one company and one bottle from another company.

I've received one package of a frozen spaghetti dinner (not sure what brand it was).

I've received a full size bottle of juice (not refrigerated) - one of my favorites.

I've received toilet paper (12 rolls!).

I've received dish liquid (full size bottle).

I've received 2 full size boxes of oatmeal (that was one of my favorites too!).

I've received 2 bottles of an energy drink with vitamins, made by a company that is famous for their vegetable juice.

I think I received some sort of feminine product, but I can't recall what it was.

I have also said 'yes' at the end of countless surveys when asked if I would test the product and I've never received those, so I guess they filled their quota - which means I missed out on testing cookies, potato chips, hair color, cheese, crackers, expensive vitamins and some other really good stuff!
