Upgrade to Shopping Pages

I'm thinking of making two additions to each of the shopping pages and was wondering if you all would use them enough to make it worth the changes.

First, adding an icon on each page that says something about whether the merchant pays cash back on gift cards. I know right now it says it way at the bottom of the page but I thought putting an icon close to the top might be more helpful.

Second, adding an icon that says if the merchant takes paypal. Is that something that influences your purchase decision?

I think it would be wonderful to see the gift card option on the top. I rarely use my paypal account, but for those that do, it would be convenient to find this out prior to going on the merchant site.

For me, it would definitely be helpful to see at the top whether gift cards are included in the cash back.

I too don't use my PP account when shopping enough for it to make a difference. But wouldn't mind seeing it at the top for those who do use it.

PayPal does not effect my order. However, free shipping would/does.

Gift cards would be nice. I don't ever use PayPal for purchases because it is just easier to dispute a charge via Credit Card than PayPal.

The Paypal icon wouldn't affect me, but wouldn't bother me to see it there either if it helps others. The gift card options would be nice to see at a glance. I agree with Hedy- free shipping can persuade me more than most things!

Having the gift card would be really helpful. I don't use paypal that often so that really matter to me.

I agree with everyone else. It would be nie to have the cash back of gift cards at the top, this is something I am ALWAYS checking for. Paypal does not affect my purchasing decisions, Free SHipping GREATLY influences my decisions. Maybe you could add both icons (Cash back on Gift Cards annd Free SHipping if available) Thanks!

I for one like both ideas. I know for myself if they don't use Paypal I won't use them. It is just easier that way instead of using my personal credit card. To me it is a matter of security and also if I don't have money in Paypal, than I won't spend anything that I don't have. :sunshine:

The reason I didn't include free shipping is that we don't actually have that category for each merchant because it changes on a daily basis for some of them. So we just list the free shipping deals below the merchant's banner in the coupon section when they offer them. I do think there is a way that I could pull that into an icon though.

Question: Would it matter that I could only pull ALL free shipping deals, even when some of them have crazy restrictions like "free shipping on $100"? I wouldn't be able to just pull free shipping no minimum. It would have to be all or nothing to make the icon.

:clap: I agree! Free shipping - especially without a specified dollar amount to spend, is a real incentive for me.

If that is the case I don't think it should be included. I HATE when they say "free shipping" but there is a large purchase amount attached to that offer. But the gift card Icon sounds great!! THANKS

I'll put my vote in for all of the above! Trying not to use our credit cards, so I do like to see when PayPal is an option for payment as well!

I think that is fine with the shipping. Put the icon and if people want more info they can scroll down to the coupon section to see if there is a minimum purchase or whatever is required.

Not to get too detailed but how about in-store pickup? I bring it up since Crate and Barrel announced today that they are going to start offering an in-store pickup option when ordering online.
