Aight, so I have a confession to make-I have ROYALLY stunk as an SR member the past few months. I haven't been an SM in two quarters. I seriously think the SSI survey I just took was my first in monthS. Months, people.

Anyway, I'm taking the Holiday contest as a reason to give myself a kick in the rear. As I see some old but familar faces in the forum, I don't think I'm alone in this venture. I'm hoping to make it to 100 entries by the end of the contest.

Anyone else in with me?

So I am a numbers person and I have to break goals down in to little bites. There are 47 days to this contest that means that you would need the following to hit the different levels:

Level 1: About 2-3 surveys per day.
Level 2: About 3-4 surveys per day.
Level 3: About 6-7 surveys per day.

All are very doable. I know some members who rarely get less than 6 surveys per day. So excited to have more motivation to keep going after getting the first few done.

BTW here is my running total:

300 - 9= 291 left to go over 46 days = 6-7 per day.

I really slacked on surveys in recent months. I have been faithfully doing surveys the last few weeks and love seeing my balance go up! I want to kick myself for all the survey money I lost out on!! :(

So far I have 9 entries!:cooldance: The prizes are all great and I want a survey bonus!!

(and I'm sooooo close to $5,000 in total earnings!!)

My goal is level 2. Last year I hit level one-but I think I only got about half way to the 2nd level.

My goal when I created the contest was to make the bottom bonus achievable for just about anyone who does surveys. The second bonus would be for the people who dabble in surveys but want to try a little harder this time. And the top tier would be for the real die-hard people who always try to get as many as possible. Plus factoring in the "lean days" like Thanksgiving and weekends when not as many surveys are loaded.

And of course the average active member makes somewhere between 10 and 20 holiday purchases throughout November and December. So that is added in, too.

Unfortunately the things that have kept me away from surveys are about to kick into high gear this month and next month. But I'm still hoping to squeeze in a few surveys and will probably do a little shopping to get entries for the prizes! Even if I don't make a bonus, there is always hope for the prizes :D

I love some of the prizes!!! I have to say that we practically had a mutiny in our family over the Kindle. Sunshine Rewards actually won it in a contest so it was up to me to decide whether I wanted to keep if for myself or use it as a prize in the holiday contest. I asked the family what they thought and my own feelings about it. They were not exactly happy with my decision. LOL

Just out of curiosity...if I make it, will that hit my account in January? or when the contest ends? the contest end date is about when I need to cash out to get my disney cards for our trip next year. I was thinking the same thing about coupons.com-but I think the answer is "no" , they don't count for the contest-haven't seen those that I've printed be added to my contest total.

I figured out the daily breakdown the other day and yes, when you look at it like that, it's not quite so intimidating! I missed a few days already by not having internet, but I am going to shoot for the 150 entries.

And to the person who asked, last year my coupons.com prints counted in the contest. They do count as shopping, so I would think they would count this year as well.

i just checked my entries and it says i have 48 but when i went into my history i counted 50 (1 shopping and surveys) so counting everything including the 1 entry for signing up i should have 51. does it always lag behind like that? if anyone has any info about this it would be greatly appreciated. :thanks:

My son would love the Club Penguin and the world map! My top two favorites would be the $50 for Groupon and the Kindle. Although the food sounds really good this morning too! :) Might have to make a purchase soon!

I have been a MAJOR slacker since I got back from WDW...back in OCTOBER!!

Ugh...I've made SM for like the last 6 quarters and it looks like I am in danger! I've never really made a significant effort before to get to SM, just always figured my daily efforts would be enough. Now, here it is at the mid-way point and I am sitting at a whopping $36.69:eek:. With the holidays coming up, my time is going to be limited so surveys could be very difficult to come by.

This contest should be a wake-up call for me! I need to get crackin!

Most days that I try, I get at least 3 surveys. Lately, although I get them, sometimes I have to go through several screenings to get each survey- it's hard cause when it happens which each survey, my time runs out and I can't do as many. I love it when I just screen into one so easily!

Anyhoo, I should have no troubles this quarter with SM, but I really wanted to get at least 100 entries, if not 150 for the contest so I gotta keep at it! :cooldance: I don't have that much more Christmas shopping to do; I've done a lot on Amazon and unfortunately that doesn't count towards the contest. The deals have been awesome though!

We realize there is an issue with my view and Tricia has already reported that she is in contact with my view to find out what is going on with this. My disney store orders always look like that-credits separated for individual items. Whether it's 7 different contest orders, I don't know. Would be cool if it did, wouldn't it?

I have no clue why Disney does them that way. But we only count it as one entry. Believe it or not, some people order enough from Disney that if we counted each one separately they would get a bonus based only on one Disney order. LOL

They all thought I loved my ds shih-poo so much , they found one for me.

I love the little guy, but for the last 3 years, I loved not taking care of anyone. my youngest is a Senior in college, been taking care of my children and living on a schedule for the last 30 years-I was just starting to love my free time.

Sorry for whining, but I have not done a survey in almost 5 days. Every spare moment I have, is playing, feeding and taking the puppy outside. I think I even have "puppy blues". Is this normal?

I love the little guy, but for the last 3 years, I loved not taking care of anyone. my youngest is a Senior in college, been taking care of my children and living on a schedule for the last 30 years-I was just starting to love my free time.

Thanks. I really do love the little guy, but I shouldn't feel such guilt, when I am gone longer than 2 hours. My dh is helping as much as he can, but I am taking him outside every 15 minutes when he is playing and running around. So for every 10 times a nite, my dh may do 2. It is something you know you have to do, and nagging someone else is just going to start a fight.

On the brighter side-I got my first survey today, with my puppy on my lap.

I'm at 80 entries right now, so I need to shoot for 2 surveys a day to make a bonus.

I have to say that while I'm being enticed to shop a lot more right now with great deals and contests (and the fact that it gets me another entry), I'm kind of glad I don't need anything from the Green Monday merchants! I think I need new batteries, but Walgreens is going to charge me shipping....so I'll give Staples the sale since I can have that shipped to the store and pick it up there. My credit card hurts enough!

I don't want to have to do it, but we might have to put a minimum purchase amount on entries for the contest next year if we keep seeing people making multiple $2 and $3 purchases to get their totals up. If you think about it, we don't really make any profit on sales less than $5. If we end up having to pay out 100s of $30 bonuses based on those purchases, we won't be able to afford to do contests like this anymore.

Do you mean at some people are literally doing *only* this sort of shopping to gain entries?

I can see why a minimum might need to be put into place next year if this were so. I'm guessing 75% of my entries were surveys....I now have $259 saved in my SR account for my upcoming Europe trip.:sunshine: I'm glad for contests like this to lit a fire under my butt to get those surveys done!

I think I'm guilty too. I had four separate Best Buy purchases in a 36 hour period over Thanksgiving....but I honestly never had the opportunity to combine them! Made the first one in the morning, found out my other item wasn't in stock. Went to my parents and found out they had earphones on sale for less than Staples. Got home and they only had one acceptable color in stock.....two hours later, they had the blue I wanted. I had figured I'd end up at the store to try and get them until that happened. Went to the stoer Friday afternoon to try and get the sold out game and couldn't find it but found a game on my brother's list for $5 --90% off! I checked my phone, them came home and ordered that too. I blame Best Buy's website for causing me to make four orders! While I did consider splitting it up if given the chance, as soon as I saw it was UPS shipping I would have nixed that idea. I have way too many problems with them right now.

I probably have around 75% of survey entries too. I just can't qualify for as many as the others do.

I'd hate to see the bonuses go away, but I can see why it might be warranted.

I purchased a few apps for my nook at BN and it makes you check out after each one. I would have done one order but the site won't let you--Actually when I did it I wasn't even thinking about entries into the contest just going through SR like always.

Thank you! I appreciate that! I just am excited that I have a bunch of Disney money coming in the next few weeks. The extra would have helped, but I wouldn't have been able to use it for our upcoming trip. Agreed. I joined SR at the end of October and am about $15 shy of being an SM for this quarter. That is my goal for next quarter!

Let's see...there's .20 for printing coupons thru coupons.com-earned daily.

I think shopping credits credit quicker if you are a SM.

.15 for reviewing a merchant-earned quarterly

There are sometimes paid clicks just for SM's.

Access to SM lounge-part of forum.

And access to an increased amount of cash back with certain merchants if you are an SM.

And the occasional paid email that's just for SM's(got one today).

I've read here on the site that some think that SM's sometimes get the "easier" or "quicker" surveys. That hasn't necessarily been my experience but your mileage may vary.....

Just fun and a "do-able" goal each quarter.
