Silly marathon/January booking question

Turns out my brother Mickey is training for the half in January*. I would be a negligent sister if I did not go ;), do I have to wait until August (whenever 2013 rates come out) to book my room? If so, how do ADR's work? I'm thinking probably staying at CSR or Swan (if my mom comes), and Pop or Art of Animation if she doesn't.
*And my dsil Minnie is running the 5K, and her sister and bil are also doing the half.

If Disney continues to do what they did last year, 2013 will open up late June-ish. That solves the old 180+10 ADR problem. If you were really wanting to book something sooner than that, you can book a room only (no packages) but pricing will be completely inaccurate until rates are released in the summer.

I've been waiting for Southwest & Airtran to release into November. I'm afraid of what I'll see based on some of the pricing I've seen for the fall. Airfare is really blowing our vacation budgets.
