View Full Version : Lost Sales Through Safari Browser

As many of you know, we suggest Firefox and Chrome for Sunshine Rewards use because members tend to have the best tracking experiences using those browsers. That said, you can use any browser of your choice. However, since February, Google has been unable to track sales for merchants when you use the Safari browser. If the sales are not tracked, we cannot pay you your cash back. This does not impact every merchant on Sunshine Rewards, but probably about 20% of them.

We will let you know as soon as we hear that it is fixed, but they are not giving us any estimate at this point.

Eep. I will consider that before shopping on an iThing again.

Me too....I just got an iPhone and have been dying to do some shopping on it. I guess I will stick to my laptop for now.

Just saw this today, and I was wondering why I wasn't getting Kohl's credits. I did get a Macy's credit using Safari on my IPad.

Definitely. Kohls is one of the merchants impacted. Macy's is not.

Thanks for the info...I really appreciate it since I do order from Kohls quite a bit.

Is hotels.com one of the affected sites? I don't remember what I might have used for that booking, but it's possible, and it could be the reason for my TT for that $1000+ stay. :o

Do you have this info on the clickthru pages for the sites that are problematic? If not, can you?

Firefox for me has been incredibly glitchy and I've been bouncing around between browsers....

hotels.com would definitely not be affected. Unfortunately we don't really have a good way to designate the affected merchants without making things even more confusing for the members. :( It's a huge mess and it's pretty much 100% Google's fault.

Not fun. :hugs:

Glad it isn't messing with hotels, since that's our main way of earning! Sure do hope the TT comes through though.
