I just tried it, so not long enough to know if has credited or not, but YES you download something. Did that on our older computer. hate downloading things!! Also you get an email from them that has two steps you need to do, download and verify email.

Downloaded and installed it, no credit on the 2nd hour. Will wait to see if it credits at 8 before I uninstall.
