banner in signature

I really don't think this is working, even though I have been reading all the threads on how to get this banner on my signature.....
So here goes.....Testing...

Please forgive me, I am very sleep deprived!!! Can anyone tell me how to add a referral banner to my sig? I thought I knew what I was doing.... copy and pasted a banner url and went into user cp...added it to my signature...but just get a mess. Help?:confused:

Wait a minute...now it is gone again...just my name is there. You guys are going to think I am nuts...because believe me, I am beginning to feel that way! Why is the earnings banner only there sometimes for me?
