I just checked out the stoplight page and see almost all red!! Are there no surveys to take or are they not crediting?

I tried every single survey this morning before work and could not get into a single one. I hoped it was because it was a Monday and towards the end of the month. Will try again when I get home in a bit.

Been trying all day today and even yesterday and am having a lot of trouble. In fact, I came over here to see if I was the only one having problems.

How strange! All of a sudden there is a lot of green. Guess they just all loaded surveys late in the day today for some reason.

Well, I got 2 in last night (LS and GF) and 2 tonight (LS and SH), so even though I am behind for the month I guess I should feel lucky I am still getting some at the end of the month.

I have only managed 3 DS surveys this month. Doesn't seem to matter if it's red, yellow. or green, they have no surveys for me. It's been slim pickings for me with the other ones, too.:(

The problem has now become kind of circular. I complain to the survey companies that we are not getting many surveys and they keep pointing out that we have less and less people trying them. It actually started when we put up the stoplight system and has gotten worse ever since. It might have been the biggest mistake we ever made. :(

I find the stoplights helpful; helps prioritize. It is frustrating when one is green for hours at a time and I can't even get into one. I can see people signing in and seeing lots of red lights and figure its not worth trying.

Not sure when you went to the stoplights but its been a year (or more) since DS/SM were plentiful. Now its "sorry, try again tomorrow" over and over every day. Seeing lots of GF opportunities via MV/Live/RFG though.
AMP has had nothing for 10 days now, and SH almost as bad.

I also find stoplights helpful but I can see where they could hurt people trying to because if we all see red and all think they same thing then no one will try and they will never become green

Interestingly, I just went and ran some numbers to see just how bad the surveys are right now. I ran the number of CLICKS last year versus this year as well as the number of COMPLETIONS--to see how the overall percentages compare.

Across the board we had HALF The number of people even trying surveys this August as we had last August. The completion percentages were down, but only by a few percent each. Obviously the biggest change was that we used to have the two SSIs all month and now we seem to only be getting them for a week.

So I'm not sure what has changed. We're still getting completions overall at about the same percent as last year. But we have a LOT less attempts than we had last year.

2:05AM???

too bad the surveys couldn't be listed on the page in order of the ones you have the best chance of getting into one. Greenfield and AMPs at the top of the list are some of the hardest to get into.

I try each and every day, I do appreciate all the opportunities SR has provided me to earn extra money. This fall's trip to Disney is being paid for almost exclusively by my Sunshine earning. Starting to save for the next trip. We can only afford to go every 4-5 years so it takes me awhile to save up.

I think the stoplight system can both help and hurt. I hope to have more time for surveys now that the kids are back in school, but if it is late at night and I see all red stoplights, I am less likely to try at all. If I see several green, it encourages me to stay up a little later and try to get a couple of surveys.

Losing SSI so early in the month hurts a lot too, and not just for SSI numbers. I almost always try for SSI if they are available, and since they are fairly easy to qualify for, I end up trying other surveys once I finish SSI. When SSI runs out, it seems like we have more red than green stoplights, which can be discouraging, especially if you have a small amount of time available. :(

I do appreciate all the opportunities at SR, even at the leaner times. I am already worried about the Holiday Contest if SSI goes early in the month. I'll have to boost my earnings and entries with some holiday shopping. :sunshine:

Just my $.02....I like the spotlight system because as others have said, it helps me rank which ones to try first. But, yes, when I log on and see all red, I do get discouraged.

For me however, it doesn't mean I don't try-it does however mean that I'll try only a couple that I have the most luck with rather than 8-10.

The biggest difference for me is that it's taking a lot longer to even complete the 1 or 2 I'm able to qualify for. I used to be able to get a least one before I had to leave for work. Now, because it's taking so long to even get thru the demographics and the "you don't qualify for that one; here's another one"-etc most morning I don't even try to get a survey before heading out.

Next month is my 4 year annv with SR:sunshine:. And I really appreciate the opportunities here....

Good point about the surveys taking longer. Quite a few of the GF's take lots longer than they used to, like 30 minutes.there are a few others that seem to be longer now too.

Not only are SSI the easiest to get into, they are usually around 15 minutes.

If someone only has say 60 minutes/day to do surveys and they are longer now then they might only have time to do 2 instead of 3-4 15 minute ones.

I got a little feedback from Greenfield. They said that they actually recently kicked out a bunch of their partners but we made the cut to stay in, so that is good! They have some new surveys on the way that we should be looking out for that might give us a nice bump in completions.

Hopefully only a couple more days until SSI comes back, too!

I log in and try surveys every day, There are certain ones that I no longer attempt (LS) because they never credit for me. If it is a survey (SH, SSI) that I usually have good luck with, I will attempt it even if the light is red.
That being said, there seems to be fewer and fewer surveys available. In the past, I had been able to get a DS every day. This month, I have only completed and received credit for one. I have a total of 17 surveys this month which is less than half of what I would have completed a couple of months ago.

I've been slacking a lot on the surveys too and for me, it comes down to two things. First, when I get into a survey (finally!), it often takes 30+ minutes to complete. This is just too much time to devote on a regular basis. Like a PP said, if I am going to try and devote 1 hour a day to surveys and it takes me 20 minutes to qualify for one and then another 30 minutes to complete it, then that's it for the day...one survey. The second obstacle is that if/when I do finally complete a survey, it has been really hit or miss as to whether or not I will get credit. I used to shoot for 5-6 surveys a day and I was able to do that by devoting 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the evening. Maybe once a week, I would have a survey not credit, it happens.

It has just become so frustrating lately...lots of time to qualify...more time to complete...and then not receiving credit...it all comes together to completely squash my desire to do surveys. I had been earning between $50-$100 a MONTH doing surveys. As of today, my account earnings are $53...for the YEAR. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE SR:love: and a lot of my decline is my own fault. I really want to get back on the survey train but I need another one of those "Touchdown" days:sunshine:. I still check the site every day for my scratch off and coupons and now that the kids are back in school, I want to get my survey groove going again.

My goal is try to get the survey off the red. But maybe you are right. This summer I see the red and I click out, thinking nothing is going to credit.

I have been having lots more trouble getting credits lately, too. The DS, Surveyhead, and SSI always credit, but I don't qualify for those nearly as often anymore. The others are very hit and miss with getting credit.

I use the light system to judge which I go for first, but I still try ones even if they are red. I tend to go for LS and GF first, then SSI1 and SSI2 (when they are working), then SH and 2 cents.

Sometimes the reds still work out, and others (especially at the end of the month) get the dreaded, "Sorry, we have no surveys available for you at this time." I got that from Surveyhead and GF tonight.
