View Full Version : Reminder: E-mail Links Being Disabled

As a reminder, we are taking out the E-Mail Links button on the Member Zone page for a little while. First of all, we have too many people who are marking our emails as "spam" through their providers and then only reading the paid emails through those links. Second of all, we are going to change the system so that you can read BOTH paid and unpaid emails through that link.

If you are having trouble getting emails from us, you may want to change to a non-yahoo or hotmail address.

I have Yahoo, I usually don't have problems getting the e-mails but there have been several times that they didn't get to my inbox before the paid click had expired. I think it says something like 5 days. For example the e-mail Cindy sent while you were on vacation for the Oldies but Goodies contest arrived yesterday. I will have to think about what e-mail to change to for at least the short term or take my chances for the paid e-mail clicks.

For those of you looking for a new (& free) email, I highly recommend gmail! I love my gmail and don't have any problems getting SR emails with it!

I have Yahoo too but I've never had problems with getting emails from SR. Maybe because SR is on my contact list?

(The way my luck runs now I've jinxed myself and I'll never get another SR email again!)

There are times where we get 10% of all of our emails returned to us or delayed by yahoo because our members have marked us as spam. :( I think adding us to your safe lists are the best way to keep the emails coming.

Actually I have already added every possible variation of SR to my safe list. Just sometimes they get delayed. No biggy. If gmail works I will change it over to that. Will that change my log in for SR?

I think too many people in general are marking "sunshinerewards.com" as spam, so it is ruining it for other people. In particular, I think the higher your member number, the worse chance you have of getting our emails just because of the way that yahoo handles them.

Your log in would change to your new email address. But it would not affect any of your offers or anything since we track everything by your userid and not your email address.

I have a hotmail address and am having no problem getting SR messages. From the very beginning, I marked them as being safe, so I think I am okay.:sunshine:

I have no problems getting SR email... just hate my email program (on my computer- not my provider)... guess I'll have to get busy switching to a new program...anyone have a mail program they like?? or do you all mainly read mail through an online provider?

I have hotmail and have no problems getting my e-mails, so I think I should be o.k.

I used to use yahoo and it seemed like I missed a lot of emails even though I had added SR as a contact. Since I've switched to hotmail, I haven't had a problem at all!:)

I continue to use my yahoo, because I prefer to have that as my main email address, and I have not had any issues getting emails from SR. I have never marked SR as spam, and it does not go into my bulk mail box. Nor do I recall specifically ever marking anything as a 'safe contact'; it is just that things I mark as spam go in the bulk mail, and things I have not marked as spam go in my regular box. I have had delayed emails occasionally, but not by much. So since I have had no problems, I see no reason to change anything!:)
