Clearing Cookies???

Hi everyone!!
I am a newbie here. I have been sort of off and on with the DS. I seem to get several in a row and then have days of a dry spell (which I seem to be on now). I noticed on the april survey thread some peopel mentioned cleaning cookies from their computer? Is this something I need to do since I have done several surveys already? How do I do this? I have no idea, but thought it might help me out!!

We all do it a little different. It really is a matter of finding what works best for you. I have read some people rarely clear their cookies. Personally, I clear them every morning before I start.

My IE settings are set to accept all first and third party cookies, and to override automatic cookie handling. I also turn off my pop-up blocker and my firewall before doing offers (I turn them back on when I am done)

I don't do a lot of surveys, but when I do, I have no problem with getting credit!

There is a lot of really good advice on the forum and a lot of threads on this subject!!

Daily surveys aren't tracked by cookies but by your SR user id, if your just doing those then no you don't have to. If your also doing offers then yes you should, I recommend once a day or every other day.

If your doing the OTX (daily) or AMPs you NEED to clear cookies before each one bc these are tracked by cookies.

I didn't understand the daily surveys until just recently. A couple months ago, I would try and qualify once in the morning. Usually I received the no survey's available message. And I thought that there was nothing for me that entire day.

What I didn't know was the new survey's are loaded throughout the day. Now if I don't qualify, I try again maybe an hour or two later. I usually will get a survey sometime through the day.

Now that you say that, I wonder if that's the case with the Super Member survey in there as well. Last night, I completed the SM one and then my husband did the OTX. I know that we need to clear cookies between credit on the SM surveys. Both the SM & the OTX were done within the same hour. When I checked the credits this morning, only the OTX credited. I'm wondering if doing both in the same hour messes something up and if that's the case, I'll try to not make that mistake again. :confused:

That happened to me the other day when Tricia was testing out the OTX (well a few days later) it's rare the SM and OTX are done in the same hour but they were and neither one credited for me, but thankfully Tricia found them that day and manually pushed them thru.

As for the DS and SM survey I clear cookies first thing in the morning, I have never cleared cookies in between taking the DS and SM survey and have never (knock on wood just that one time this week) have had a problem getting both to credit. I wonder if it's bc I take DS and DH does SM?
I learned in the beginning that you had to clear cookies inbetween the SM survey's which is why I just clear them every morning.
