Yup I did this several times - just told them how much I wanted them to take off and they brought me a receipt showing the amount remaining (and how much they had "charged") Super easy to do.

That is wonderful! We are on the dining plan but must pay out of pocket for drinks and appetizers along with the tip for the entire meal.
I am sure happy I can use the gift cards!
Can I use my GC to for the servers tip at restaurants? I thought they would be like a CC. Or do I need to charge the tip to my room and then use the GC to pay for charges at the end of the trip?
I am over half way to my goal of $300 by mid August.
