It wouldn't be against the rules of GF to use one of the other browsers to do the survey. I haven't ever tried then in doing surveys so I don't know for sure they will credit but it wouldn't hurt to try it out and see what happens. In the beginning I was using AOL to do everything and I got credit for most things. The issue didn't come until later and really only occurred with the offers and shopping so I would think that you would be ok with surveys. Try it out and let us know LOL
Not sure how surveys will work on other browsers outside of IE. Based on the ones you are suggesting I'm thinking you are on a Mac. I think I've read people having success using firefox on a mac for surveys.Quote:

on the pc if you have ccleaner downloaded you can go into the options and select certain cookies to keep each time you clear cookies. I chose this option for certain sites like you mentioned (banking, forums, SR) so that I didn't have to sign in all the freaking time.Quote:

OTX finally offered me a survey I hadn't taken, so I got credit for the 1st time in about a week!
I was able to get an OTX survey yesterday where I had to look at several different web pages and then aswer questions about the articles and ads I'd seen. As I was finishing, I just automatically typed my age in and of course got the dreaded message. I backed out, cleared cookies and started all over and I got a similar survey, only with completely different web pages with different articles and ads. I finished it, added a year to my age and got credit after the hour. Since I hadn't gotten credit for the first one, I felt OK about completing the second one. But I am very unclear as to whether those surveys would be considered the same one. Or would they be different because they were completely different web pages - and not only were the ads different, they were for a completely different product category?
I take those to be different survey's. The last 3 days I've had the same TYPE of survey but with different ads. One was cars, one was household products and one was beverages. So to me I'm answering each one differently based on the products they've shown me.Quote:

Oh this is hilarious and so true! I've also check off all surveys taken and I still keep getting the Shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant one, the movie one and the football one. I haven't been able to qualify for one yet today, there is nothing available at all and it seems like we are all getting offered the same ones over and over. :confused:Quote:

I keep getting the shampoo/toothpaste deordoant one too, although I've never taken the survey, it always boots me out. There doesn't seem to be any way on OTX to "pass" on a survey though unless you close the window and enter your info all over at which point the same one comes up. I always have to keep going on that one just to get booted out just to get another one. There should be a better way!Quote:

I finally got one to post for me!!! it started out as a toothpaste one but proceeded to commercials. actually a interesting one.

Definetly do as they are tracked by cookies. Older cookies will override newer cookies and thus you won't receive credit. Glad you got credit today :sunshine:Quote:

I did a couple different surveys in the last 2 days - and wouldn't you know, those are the questions I get again today along with the ol' toothpaste questions! So I will clear cookies and try later - but I think odds are I will get those same questions and be told there are no surveys for me!

Ok, it is official, I HATE SURVEYS!!!
I took a lot of time taking an OTX survey today. Used correct information, the email I use with SR and everything! And then after 30 minutes when I got to the end, they asked my age. (Now I know my age, thank you very much.) So I answered, and they told me I wasn't being honest:computer:
I think I will just give up, it's not worth the money for the time and effort to be told I don't even know my own age!:rotfl:
Looks like they still haven't fixed the age issue from 1/1/08. If you haven't had a bday yet in 08 you need to put what you WILL be in 08Quote:

In the qualifying pages, there is a page that lists maybe a dozen new movies but no description of which ones to check. I don't know if they want to know if I've heard of them, seen them, saw advertising for them or some other question...anyone else getting this screen? I don't want to keep getting it and answer "fraudulently."
I got that, was mystified, but checked a few - got other questions, but then was told I didn't qualify. I did get one on retail stores, tho, after that.
I had gotten something like that the other day, just a list with no choices, I thnk I refreshed or just hit next and was able to move on.
I did try to refresh several times, but had no luck. I finally just picked a couple of movies I was familiar with, and got kicked out.Quote:

Then I get one I actually haven't done yet. And the next day, tho, I get the questions that lead to THAT survey and get kicked out - so...it's the way it is, I guess.
i can't qualify for a survey today to save my life - every survey i have tried this morning i have been booted out of and i finally got the thank you but you do not qualify for any surveys today. what a drag that is as i have been doing pretty well on otx lately. guess i'll try again later or else give up for the day.:computer:
OK, so OTX did just give me a survey that was very similar to one I did do last week about what movies I might plan to watch - only it actually was different. That is, the movies it asked about were different, so I went ahead and completed the survey, and got the good thank you page. I'll see if I get the credit.
I really think OTX would not have given me the survey if it were just like the one I did last week. Like I said they have been busy telling me I didn't qualify for all sorts of surveys I had already done but still got qualifying ?s for! So it seems to me they have a good system for identifying what surveys you and haven't taken, and won't let you take ones you have already taken again.
I got a new survey today about pet food, but I still had to answer the toothpaste/deordorant/shampoo questions first and get booted out of that one. Did anyone ever actually DO that survey? I just go thru the qualifying questions EVERY day and get booted out. I wish there was a "been there done that button" :computer:

Now I still get the questions about it every single time I have tried to get a survey - I just say no, get booted out, and try for one I haven't done!!
