Site Slowness Update

It appears that there is something going on with whoever else is located on the same server as us that is killing our speed this morning. The solution is to move to our own server (which is a lot more expensive but at this point the best solution).

So sit tight and I will keep you updated. As soon as they either get the server moved or fix the problem with the current one, I will put up the special cashouts. In the meantime, I have caught up all of the cashouts for everyone who cashed out through 9am this morning and am working on pulling all of the credits that have come in through this morning, including yesterday's surveys. As soon as the site is back up, I will hit the button to import all of those so hopefully your totals will be even higher than the last time you logged in. :)

I hate to be a pain but an estimate. This am or afternoon? I am on west coast time but....

I really wish I had a clue. I am so incredibly upset about this right now. I'm just sitting here watching my screen NOT load with absolutely nothing that I can do about it. It's totally in the hands of the hosting company. :(

You don't think it is all the people that are on right now. What is your capacity?

I'm a little (a lot) perturbed that they decided all of a sudden that the only solution to fix the site is to move it to another server. It sounds like there is not even a temporary solution to get it going again. It's "give us $1500 and we will fix it for you." Kind of like extortion when they know we have no choice.

When I read that through an email I thought OMG who is getting mad at you about this and then I saw it was you. It does kinda seem like a joke. I mean there isn't an it person who can help you with this. You shouldn't have to stress over it.

Fortunately, it is SunshineGuy's thing. Unfortunately, he actually has a real job. LOL! But he is on the case negotiating with them. The company that we use for our hosting is actually the company that his big company uses for their T1 lines and all that. So he has a lot of pull with them for my little company because of his big, real company.

SunshineGuy is a very patient, rational person. I am a very emotional, impatient person. It is in times like these that I know we could never do the Amazing Race together. :rotfl:

I could never do the race with my hubby either. But I would love to do it.

No Amazing Race for me and my DH. We can't get through 1 week of vacation at Disney without snapping at each other :rolleyes: , much less running around the globe, jumping of cliffs and eating gross things. :sick:

Oh I think we could do it actually. I refuse to do some of those things and he wants to do them and for a million dollars heck I would do anything. The gross stuff would be hard but I have had to do gross stuff before and so it is a mind over matter thing and a ton of water. My problem is I can't start throwing up. I would never stop.
