Netflix as gift

I was thinking of getting my DS family a subscription to Netflix for Christmas. Can I go through the offer to order this and receive credit or does it have to be my own subscription (which I already have)? TIA

If you have recieved credit through any rewards program for subscribing to Netflix you can't. However, if you have never gotten any credit for a subscription you can go ahead and do it with thier info and get credit...however, I don't know for sure if the program is set up to use their info for the subscription and yours for the payment. You would have to check it out to see.

This was an offer I tried last spring but never received credit even though Angie tried for months trying to get it resolved with no luck. I'm wondering now since it never did credit for me if it will work on the gift subscription. Since I plan on getting it for them anyway I think I will try it and if it does credit it will just be a bonus.
