Disney GC ??

I was wondering if there is a time limit or experation date on the Disney Gc. Some places state that if they are not used in 12 months they start to charge a fee, which is deducted from the card. I was wondering if the cards did this. We are unsure of our trip date; Feb 2008 or 2009. Since we have gone every year, but oldest DS graduates in 2008 and as we know that gets expensive and he says he wants a cruise (unDisney ) blasphmemy I know!!
But I wanted to save these for our trip whenever it may be. Just curious!!
